Counter Strike deserves the GOAT status, srs

25 years later and it is still as strong as ever.

Meanwhile WoW is dead, League of Legends is declining, Valorant isn't as popular as before etc.

The game has outlived any huge competitive MP game out there.

Graphiccels devs make a new CoD every year just to keep up.

It is impressive. More so considering it’s bridged generations of players now. Usually with zoomers they don’t play older non phaqqet games.

The human brain looks to simplify things in order to take action.
More polished graphics usually mean more distractions, thus why simple games like Tetris mog.

Not saying that games shouldn't be graphically great, but if we visually baby-oil CS like CoD,
it would ruin it a bit since the game is driven by it's focus on skill mechanics.

Unecessary distractions would make it less straight-forward.

Yea the most skilled players on Quake would also drop the texture graphics to minimum so enemies stand out more. But CS is supposed to be somewhat based on realism, IRL enemies can hide in plain sight with the right camo.Suppose there are other team based tactical shooters out there

The counterstrike player base Def doesn't give a crap about gfx. They are playing a 20 year old game that's barely changed and doesn't even have aim down sight mechanics lmao

Adding ADS in CS is unnecessary. You will get absolutely destroyed by people who know how recoil-control and spray with a cheaper weapon.
It is just a gimmick popular with FPS that relies on everything else other than balance.

Lol at ''realism''. Neither CoD nor most FPS have recoil. ADS is for noobs and dudes who use controllers.

ADS just doesn't work for competitive use. FPSs primary core is gameplay, not some half-assed realism that funnily misses the most important mechanic in weapons.

Using ADS is basically nerfing yourself because you are trash at recoil control and aim

In fact, the COD crowd cries if TTK approaches anything close to realistic.
