You just gave me an idea. I originally thought Anachron was as useless as tits on a nun, but now we've got a use for him:

He can work as a companion to the elderly. Talk to them, read to them, debate with them about stupid, inane chit. It gives him a purpose and gives lonely elderly a conversation partner.
