I quit going to chipotle after going there a few times and literally every ******* in line didn't just order one burrito, but had a list and was ordering for 13 family members. Literally felt myself coming out of my body with rage... then you FINALLY get up to the front of the line and the Zoomers behind the counter say... sorry we don't have fajita... sorry, we don't have white rice today. WTF.

just looked it up and theres a qdoba down the street from me.never been there.i notice the say gauce and queso is free.guess ill try it out.my local place is really good but way too damn expensive.

Extra meat with quac ran you $25? If you had a drink and sides, that's definitely believable. Chipotle was charging like $12 per burrito/burrito bowl 10+ years ago, so of course they aren't going to be cheap 3 years into Bidenomics.

Don't go to Chipotle, but can confirm fast food is a complete rip off now. There is this place next to me that cost $6 for a gyro around 7-8 years ago. Now it is $15. I went there for a bit during Covid and remember being annoyed when it broke $10.

IT's that yummy heart attack inducing rice bran oil that they put in the rice. "rice bran oil" is a healthy sounding euphemism for some of the worst rot-got crap you can put into your system. LDLs through the roof. Several cups of it are added to each batch of rice. I used to work there. Don't touch Chipotle with a 10ft pole. srs. Not to mention the rampant ecoli. And the drips in the food from the water heating system that go directly into the food vats every time they remove a bin. Contamination enough to make a maggot gag.

I eat there almost every day as well. I think the value proposition is quite good. If it's a location you go to often, you can likely get a lot of food in each bowl from the workers. I usually get extra rice, 4 scoops of beans, double chicken, lots of cheese and they can barely put the lid on the bowl. Mine is usually 2-3x the size of other people's bowl, and it ends up being my only meal of the day for like 1500 calories.

I've had plenty of bad Chipotle experiences that I was not happy with, but if you know what you're doing it's fantastic.

Fast food workers around here are all starting at 18-22 an hour. Crazy. 3 years ago, my wife was working as an LPN for $19. That was with 2 bachelor degrees. That LPN position is now only $21 which is absolute poverty. It's grotesque that fast food workers make as much as LPNs. When this inflation hit, it seems like the remedial entry level job wages skyrocketed, but many middle income jobs did not. It just destroyed the buying power of the middle class.

Real Mexican places used to be a good deal, but to be honest they've kinda overpriced themselves at this point.

Mexican place near me charges $18 for 3 tacos with a side of beans & rice now. And if you eat in, they (try to) add an automatic 20% gratuity. If you want individual tacos, they're like $4.75 each.

Chipotle is a much better value at this point.

At a certain number/price, i delete items from my order or grocery list.
It needs to be a reasonable price increase, not just what they are asking.
Shi potle doesn't even come close to a real LA,SF, or SD burrito so i just deleted that flavorless restaurant, yes spoiled by real mexican food.

Did you know that the "new' California burrito has french fries replacing the rice and beans?
I just had one in San Diego 2 weeks ago, it actually worked.

Dont try it. Qdoba sucks ass whoever said its the way is wrong. All of the ingredients are ass. Yes you pay one price and can get queso, gauc, sour cream all the salsas and it doesn't cost more but why does that matter when their queso, gauc and sour cream taste like chit. The meat is so bad it doesn't matter if you get steak, chicken, ground beef its gonna be groce boyo.

Qdoba used to be GOAT back beford Chipotle came around. They had great flavored ground beef and the Cilantro Lime rice and Queso before Chipotle had it. And they also steamed the tortillas so the burrito was amazing.

But they changed their food to be like Chipotle and it completely went to chit, because Chipotle does that style better than they do. But in like 2001-2002, Qdoba was much better than Chipotle.

A good thing to know is that menus have little numbers next to the items.

The little numbers are the price.

Seems that most people have forgotten this or maybe never knew it in the first place.

So next time you go, look at the menu, if the numbers are higher than you are willing to pay, maybe dont order it.

I have used this technique my entire life and have almost never overpaid for an item. I know it sounds crazy but it actually works.

I never even saw Qdoba until 2014 when I started working at my current job. Its right by our office and i've tried it several times out of convenience and yeah it just doesn't do it for me. It sucks when places you enjoyed go to ****. Remember when little cesears was actual pizza? lol
