I don't get the excitement of buying the same remastered game on next-gen when difference is usually barely noticable. If Sony told me that they will be making an Uncharted Trilogy remake, I would buy it since the games are outdated now but I mean TLOU2 is like 3-4 years and the jump from PS4 to PS5 is barely noticeable

Nah. I played both TLOU 1 remake and TLOU 2 earlier this year on my 77 OLED. The characters, set pieces and assets in TLOU 2 are far ahead but when I did a direct comparison I immediately noticed a huge drop in resolution compared to part 1, as well as some noticable PS4 pop-in. A shame because part 2 can easily look insane if they upgraded it.

Also, the loading times were awful and the haptics were PS4 level. Add in a new mode, some bonus cut content and a few cosmetic goodies and this is easily worth the 10 bucks for an upgrade. I gladly paid that for the Ghost of Tsushima PS5 upgrade which didn't add as much extra content.

TLOU 1 remaster took much more work than this remaster. They had to rebuild part 1 from the ground up. I saw a big detailed post from another dev on all the chit they would have had to do for part 1, it def would have taken more time and resources.

Yeah ps4 to ps5 generation is just not that big of a jump and ps4 was underpowered 10 years ago when it came out but end of the day things are progressing really slowly. In the 90s if you had 10 year old tech might as well have been a find from the caveman era, something from 1985 vs 1995. But now there are diminishing returns and everything is just slightly better resolution, detail ect.

Sony realized they don't have to make games. They can just keep releasing the same games with updated textures and their idiot fanboys will buy them.

only reason i would want a ps5 is for the last of us one and two remakes. shame its not on sale yet.
