I don't follow closely, my understanding: He was a libertarian-leaning smaller Government candidate. I assumed **** must have hit the fan if any country is actually going to elect anyone like that.

Argentina has defaulted on EU loans like 5x already. They also have like 150% inflation currently.

Most of the former high ranking Nazis fled to Argentina post WW2. It is well documented the Perons were pro-Nazi and sheltered them when they fled there. Since that time, Argentina began its decent into bankruptcy via progressive government policies. Any coincidence all this started around the same time???

I watched some of the video.

He's fairly extreme but I also think some of it comes down to his showmanship/antics, which are wild and Trumpian.

To his policies, sounds like he wants to slash a lot of Government (much of it wasteful, other parts... hmm) and let corporations do it for profit. He's also wildly pro-USA and Israel, in stark contrast to most of South America which is teetering towards BRICS/China. He wants to dump their national currency and use the dollar for ****'s sake.

As someone in the West, I think this works great for 'my team'. I imagine it will work out overall better than the insane corrupt socialism they had previously, but almost anything would have to. I think future generations of Argentina will certainly inherit some major problems with such a massively Corporate-led country, issues with free speech, freedoms, ability to buy quality goods/services, etc... as bad as I consider corrupt socialism, we're seeing more and more the dangerous of late-stage crony capitalism and it's not pretty, either.

Whether his joining Team USA/West/Israel works out long term or not, ask again in 20 years. I hate to be a pessimist, but China/USA could go either way.

So, I have watched a little more and I've only really gotten the perspective of the video the OP linked -- gotta say, I don't see this ending too well for Argentina, particularly leftists living there. Guy looks like an installed puppet by the West and while we joke around here about helicopter rides, we could be seeing a few of those in the upcoming years.

Also, while I do have some personal strong libertarian-leanings, this guy strikes me as more of giving some lip service to it and his true core being very authoritarian.

Rational thinker is more like it. I don't agree with 100%, but definitely the economic side of things. Argentina went from being as rich as Western Europeans countries to poor BECAUSE OF SOCIALISTS. They're why the country has 120% right now, had over 1000% inflation annually a few decades ago. A little under half of the country lives in poverty now thanks to the RETARDED LEFT who nationalized big parts of the economy, went on huge redistribution raids.
