Disagree. Drag myself into the office once a week because I'm "hybrid" and then spend 5 hours on calls. Rolling down to the basement and logging in is much better use of time. Even if I didn't have so many meetings, my entire job can be done just as efficiently at home and I cut out the wasted time commuting.

I'd say that like half of the people I know who work from home have bitched about it in some capacity to me. Always crap about not being able to socialize at work, feeling like a prisoner in solitary confinement in their own homes, and things along those lines.

I mean, what exactly are you missing out on? You're probably saving 1 - 2 hours a day total between commute and unpaid lunch breaks alone by working from home. Not spending gas money driving to and from work all the time. Are you really that distraught about not having time to gossip with Kathryn and Steven at the office water cooler, or what exactly? Do you miss directly running into management/bosses all the time? Do you miss having to hear Edward blow up the work toilet every day, equipped with newspaper and all, while you try to take a quick leak in the urinal? You're living the fricken dream working from home dude, relish in it, very srs.

It was all I wanted. It's great. I've had the flexibility to move home, save money, and have so much more time. I think it's a matter of integrating joy into your life. It gets bleak if you don't prioritize stimulation and joy, up to your personal preference. Even as a deep introvert, I'm realizing that I need much more of it than I'd thought. For me, part of it is just that I was in a pretty cool culture

I worked remote for a couple years. It was ok but in reality I just liked it so I could get drunk all day and no one would know.

Recently accepted a WFH position. Lower pay but seems completely worth it although don’t actually start for a few more months. But anything has to be better than commute + long days in a hospital
