I'll stick with salt and pepper and some sauce (red or brown)

Look at it like this. The taste of French toast. Just not all the butter. Trust Me if you give it a try you will see it taste great.
That's if you like the taste of French toast

That sounds very weird.
What I like, though I don't do this often, is to add a teaspoon of grape jam onto a buttered bacon egg and cheese sandwich.

Don't think it would ruin it, I'm 100% sure of it but I suppose people have different tastes..

Eggs, bacon, avocado, and toasted bread with butter melted on. All you need really for a great sandwich.
The trick is how you prepare each item. People who need to add a bunch of stuff to their eggs are coping cause they don't know how to cook. Eggs should be cooked with pepper & salt in butter under low heat until ready. Bacon should be cooked in a proper oil until cooked and crispy. Fresh organic aguacate sliced with some salt sprinkled on top is great. I use sliced bread that I toss in a buttered pan to toast on the stove.

All I've ever done. Used butter of course when had no bacon grease.

I will say that north Africans do put cinnamon and nutmeg on their meats. So it's not the craziest thing.
