I'm tired of having chit cardio. Where are the sprinters at?

I used to run all the time as a kid. I ran track and cross country. I ran all the time and just fell out of it over time.

I'm ready to be fast again.

But I don't want some gay ass super long distance or "What's your mile time bro?" chit.

I wanna be fast as lightning. It's time to fukkin SPRINT.

How often do y'all sprint? How long? Uphill? Treadmill? Down the street? How far away from leg day?

I'm fukkin ready boyos. I want to become the fukkin Terminator.
I'm back, bitches!

I don't sprint per se, but I play bball 3x a week, which involves a good deal of sprinting.

2x per week

Sled work FTW.. Best of both worlds bro. It'll set your lungs on fire and work your legs at the same time.

From the age of 16 to the age of 33 I jogged 5 nights a week 3 miles a night OP.

Most people hate jogging but I always loved it too. The challenge of pushing yourself.

That feeling at the end of your tun when you oush your endurance just a little further. Beet feeling in the world .

Soon as I can ge5 it cleared from my Dr. I plan to start again too.

So i tried the HIT thing when it was trendy and popular( i was always good at 400meters and under) but it ruined my ability to do distance running.
I literally was only good at sprints, so i had to mix it up a bit.
I created a 20 x3 cardio program with 20min on bike, 20 on stairmaster and 20 on elliptical or treadmill for a grand total of 1hour.
i vary the speeds for a change in stress.

sprinting is all that matters anyway, when are you ever gonna need to run further than a mile? Even if you’re running from a thief you’re never gonna need to run more than a mile

Speed is everything

Do HIIT interval stuff

would probably do it 2x a week on your off days. you might get a bit sore but you get used to it. Don't over do it. short bursts of near max intensity (don't go max intensity right off the bat though if you are just starting) and long rest periods. Basically repeat it for a bunch of intervals.

You can do it on a treadmill, a rowing machine, maybe try skipping as well.

There's a sled at the gym, but barely any distance to actually run with it.

See if they'll let you take it out in the parking lot.

OR.. load that bitch up. Trust me, you won't need to "run" then.

And check around and buy one to use at home.. I bought a used one on Marketplace for $60. Neighbors used to look at me funny when I pushed it down the street but they eventually got used to it lol.

Sprinting won't improve your cardio. It will make it worse. You need steady state training to build cardio endurance.

He means the length of the pant leg.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

whats the point of sprinting if you arent playing a sport. You going to just tear your leg like kevin hart not warming up right and all that trying to sprint when hes an old fuk.

Too much running is bad for your knees and chit too. Probably 5k range is the best for heart health without killing your body

Once you can run a mile in 6 mins or so your ready to actually start sprint training. Sprinting without good running capacity is a disaster and a injury waiting to happen stay safe.

I like to sprint after I'm too tired to keep up a steady jogging pace. Be careful. If you're like me, you'll run until you drop. Set a goal, don't go over it. It's better to to gradual with cardio. I'm super cereal srs. Also, never pair leg day with big cardio days.

Often a moderate pace on the stair mill can get your heart rate up hugely. You won't be fast, but your heartrate will feel like a sprint. It looks easy, but then you'll see people trying to keep up and failing miserably. It's ridiculously difficult.

I'm tryin to keep the sprints at least 2 days away from leg day. I'm sure I'll be sore at first when I start. I'm aware of the pure evil that is the stairmaster. Pretty sure a demon or David Goggins invented it.
