Have You Ever Had A Toxic Relationship?

I recently came out of a relationship with a very attractive hot young girl, however the relationship was quite Toxic for the entire 8 months.

She had been on Anti Depressants prior to when I met her.. And her previous relationship apparently was also toxic with the last guy.

Why are the toxic relationships the most difficult to get over? I'm sure there a certain amount Trauma bonding involved.

How did you guys feel once you got over the toxic relationship?

Was your ex wife attractive? Also did it take quite a long time to get over it, due to it being a toxic marriage.

Now that's a buzzword if I ever heard one.

It's like you're constantly dealing with bs that has nothing to do with you.

All the baseless accusations and what not so they can pretend like they are better than you because it's like a competition to them, and not a relationship.

It ended on my terms after I realized things were not going to get better so I would say no it wasn't that difficult to get over. If it would've ended years before that when I was still infatuated with her potential then yes it would've been more difficult to get over.

I was relieved and excited for the next chapter of my life once the dust settled and I got my feet back on the ground.

Same story here, more or less. Ended once it was obvious she had serious issues that were never going to be resolved and that I had allowed myself to become convinced that I was responsible for all the problems. A rough month or so followed, but it has become better and better, especially after I started getting back in the gym regularly and spending more time with friends again.

Makes sense.. You left when you're attraction level for her wasn't at its peak, so it didn't hurt that much and you felt better chicks where outhere.

I think being the person who walked away helps a little too.

Have you guys ever stuck around with a girl because she is very attractive, but has toxic traits?

Is it ever worth it in the long run.

Yup

But always two sides to a toxic relationship. If you enabled it without leaving for a long period of time, you were part of the problem and need to work on yourself to prevent it from happening again. Narcissists and toxic individuals will never learn from a toxic relationship, but codependents often can.

I left pretty early. Within 8 months I realised she had serious anger issues, so I dumped her and walked.

8 months is still too long.. I recommend when you see those red flags, you run immediately.
