I'd choose to go to a MJ, Prince, or Queen concert instead

Iron Maidenstillputs on insane live shows to this day, and they're 30+ years past their prime. I saw them once in like 2010 and again a few years ago. I can only imagine how awesome they were back in the 80's before.

Just pick for me because neither mean anything to me. Can I go to 1995 instead and pick between Nas or Wu-Tang?

Genesis hadn't brought out Invisible Touch yet so I'd take Dire Straits because Brothers in Arms had just been released.

OP reminds me of that other weirdo who was stuck in 2005, except he is stuck in the 80s.

Probably because the 30 yrs between are fuzziness from his drunken pill popping stupor.

Between the options, Dire Straights hands down. Agree with a lot of the above. A prime Priest, Van Halen, Iron Maiden, etc would all be sick shows

They didn't sell out, brokers bought them and were re-selling them for more money.

If you ever want to see a show, wait until a half hour before it starts, go on vivid seats, and buy your tickets. You'll be able to get them for less than face.

LOL'd, I can't even listen to Dire Straights and let me tell you why. Back in the 80's I went on a day road trip with some friends. The guy driving didn't have a working radio and forgot all his cassette tapes at home. He had this one cassette tape with only one song on it. We had to listen to that one song over and over all the way there and all the way back home. This went on for hours and I seriously wanted to jump out of the car and kill myself...it was awful...

We still joke about it today...omg good times...
