2023 has been a fantastic year for me. Who else?
Too many negative, defeatist posts and crybabies on Misc so let me buck the trend
- I started a new job in January that significantly increased my income and this has been going well all year
- Moved from a pretty bland, avg apt into a nice high rise luxury condo on the top floor which has great ceiling to floor windows overlooking city views and other amenities. Looking out the window everyday is a great motivator and brings me happiness.
- Traveled internationally
- Bought an investment property that I'll keep as a rental
- Bought my mom a new 2024 Lexus
- Had a sexy FWB so my sex life was GOAT all year and I've also had a lot of fun going camping (e.g. blowjobs under the stars in the tent), partying (e.g. blowjobs in the public bathrooms), going to watch sports games, and overall a good social life with her every week
- Treated my family to trips
- Saved and invested $100K+ during this year
- Maxed my 401K
Some more I'm probably forgetting
Hoping that December goes well and that next year is also great
Cheers

Horrible year for me
-Lost 2 jobs
-No friends left (all either married or moved away)
-Traveled nowhere this year
-Keep getting injured working out
-Developed a binge eating disorder
-Currently in the worst shape I've been in for the last 15 years
-One year older and uglier in the face
-Lost 2 jobs
-No friends left (all either married or moved away)
-Traveled nowhere this year
-Keep getting injured working out
-Developed a binge eating disorder

"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

But I own 2 properties now in other major cities. I have the down payment for a primary residence where I live but prices now are super expensive so haven't gone through with it and I'm not looking for a poverty condo for this.

Definitely better than the last few years.
Hit a ton of national parks: Joshua Tree, Yosemite, The Red Woods. Explored a few cities: Minneapolis, Chicago, Sacramento, San Deigo, Orange County, Lake Tahoe (not much of a city). And I got to hit up quite a few old friends/miscers along the way, which is always nice.
Investments went up $100k.
Bought the car I've been wanting.
Finally fixing some old injuries with BPC and putting on good weight.
Definitely hasn't been a stress free year, job hasn't been the best since I lost a good boss, but overall still thankful for it. Added a ton of good material for the resume.

Eh, it was so so.
Networth only increased 750k, thanks bIdEn. Actually embarrassed by this.
Fwb recently said she wants to leave her husband for me. I do not want this....on paper and in bed she's 10/10. But if she sees me as settling down material, I've got soft.
Only bought two new real estate properties. One was for just recreational use, but feel guilty I only get personal pleasure from it. No money value outside of equity (lol @ debtcels.)
I'll do better in 2024. Srs, vry srs.

I've looked at it as a laying a foundation to build on year..
I was operating on a foundation of sand before this year. Nothing can be built in sand. What you try to build on it is destined to sink.
First step to anyone trying to rebuild and bounce back is getting your head back on your shoulders . Getting your thinking right again.
You can't do that when you stay drunk or if you have all types of poison chemicals going through your brain every day of the year. No one can even try to rebuild or do what's right under those conditions . NO ONE. asking or expecting anyone too is expecting too much out of ANYONE .
Once you got your head back on and you have the pieces to push into place after that you and only you can be blamed for your failure
So yeah 2023 has been a good year a year I'm grateful and thankful to a certain group of people for getting me to the place I needed to go to to get my head back on right.

Mixed bag. Felt like a stagnant year but in reality it was probably a net positive. Professionally, I am now making more money than I ever have in my entire life. I got almost a 20% raise. However my salary is still only a mere $50k which is poverty by misc standards and I don’t really feel much better off despite the big jump in income.
Personally, I’m doing well in my relationship, probably the strongest it’s ever been. My friendships are still fractured with one close day one friend remaining. That’s unchanged. I took 3 mini-vacations this year and I hit multiple PRs in the gym, which felt good. Still driving a paid off car and living in a safe neighborhood. The downside is my hair is thinning more and more each day and my energy levels are dropping. I’m 27 but I feel 40 srs.
Overall I’d rate 2023 a 5/10 so far.

I know a dumb troll on the MISC isnt going to change your life much, but hope you keep in mind that all these are in the past, and what you've got going for you is now in the present. Depression is looking at the past, anxiety is looking at the future, but at this very moment, you're safe.
Just focus on now, fuk the past, fuk the future. Work on you, yourself now.
I hope your life will get better eventually, and you'll be happy with what you have now.

Take this down and just keep going forward. OP might be having a kick ass year, but it doesn't last forver.

Wouldn't exactly call it a fantastic year for me, but I made strides in some areas. I went on more dates in 2023 than 2022 and 2021 combined. I also got into pretty good shape (for my own standards), though I really slacked with the gym once the fall the started. All in all building blocks were placed for me to know how to move in a positive direction.

Repped for positive thread
2023 has been excellent
-wife gave birth to our second. He is a boy and strong as fuk already. Das it.
-work is steady and though I haven't boosted my income much over 2022 I am ready to increase rates (self employed) for next year to be bountiful. Still love my job and business
-felt more connected with my woman the last few months than I have in quite a while, our relationship seems to be the best it's been since becoming parents
-had some really fun vacations and the memories will last a lifetime or at least until I become demented and old

In the end, its all lies, only question is to what degree.
I made 200k last year on investments, and bought a sweet as merc is more believable than I made 1 mil on crypto this month, and bought a private jet yesterday, but both are lies.

Made about 100k in bitcoin....THIS WEEK.
Started 2 businesses this year grossing 7 figs.
Got 3 FWB's I rotate on a weekly basis.
Bought a place with 2% mortgage rate.
Living is decent I guess. Could be better. Still only have an 8x6 cock.
