When it comes to the Harry Potter films do you prefer the
More light hearted earlier ones or the darker themed later ones in the series?

I do believe that I am the only human on earth who has not seen even 10 seconds of any Harry Potter or Marvel movie.

I’ve been meaning to watch the last 3 Harry Potter films for like ten years, and still haven’t gotten around to it. I read the first three books though

Watched all the movies as they came out while growing up. Then saw them all again recently with GF.
I'd say Goblet of Fire was my favorite, but I've seen it so many freaking times compared to the others, srs. The final "darker" ones were cool and obviously finalize all the plot lines, and bring about the feels due to it. But I'd put the older ones ahead of them. Maybe partially due to nostalgia, but they really capture the feel of Hogwarts and school life, unlike the later ones of course.

The first two movies were okay and did their job, but they were naturally gonna be cornier and lighter hearted with the main characters all being kids at the time.
Once they got to the third movie, it started getting a lot more interesting. Movies 3 - 5 were all pretty good. I barely remember 6. Had a hard time not falling asleep in either pt. 1 or 2 of the cash grab 7th film.

I prefer the earlier ones with Richard Harris as Dumbledore. Also before the school's student body inexplicably got wtf culturally enriched.
The Delores Umbridge villain was also well done.

The first half before it gets depressing, though it's understandable that it went in that direction. Things had to come to a head eventually.
Random comment: Sorcerer's Stone is the only HP book I didn't read.
