Would you rather win a seat to the world series of poker or

A WPT main event?

And if you won a seat to the WSOP would you take the seat or cash it out for the money?

WPT main event. Although fields that big in poker require an insane amount of luck to make it deep and variance is brutal. One day ill be in both

Yeah skill is almost non existent at poker anymore.. any donk with a big bank account will keep calling any bet with a 7-2 and flop a set or a boat. With that said it still takes some skill and knowledge to wade through it.

I'd go with WPT just because the player pool is much smaller.

Yep. WSOP is like over a week long, crazy amount of play time. And of course skill is definitely required to play that long and pick spots. WPT this year has a 40 million 1st place prize, and it keeps getting bigger every year. Imagine playing 5 days of poker to get aces in preflop vs 2s or something and them hitting a set.

It's a sick feeling if someone has a good hand and gets lucky on the turn or river. That's poker. Disappointing but you shrug it off but when you come across those idiots who who stay in hands and call raises preflop with 7-2 7-3 and keep chasing the river and hit. It's a sick feeling to say the least.

Poker is no different than any other education. A person better be willing to invest the money i.e lose the money at the table if they want to learn the game you can only learn so much from. Books.
