CP isn't a multiplayer game though. Any issues in the gameplay and additions to storylines are more magnified. Each version has to be fully fleshed out from the very beginning. That is why I believe they should stop support with CP1 and use it as learning platform for CP2.

A fully fleshed out CP2 would be alot better for PR and the game itself since a new feature can be experienced by everyone else all at once, instead of old CP1 players.

Modern warfare 2 was heaps and bounds better than Mw1. If someone was to jump into the COD series, they can start at mw2 instead of mw1. CDPR should just focus to make a great CP2 instead of worrying about the CP1 player base - if you say they own it to the CP1 players. Sometimes you just have to leave the wounded soldiers behind lmao and protect your healthy soldiers from the same misteak.

Who nose though its all complicated lol.
That's how they're learning for Cyberpunk 2 tho? by fixing everything in the current game, they're getting a decent base for what works and what doesn't for the sequel. CP1 was clearly a game far too ambitious for the studio and they bit off more than they could chew, but they're finally fixing it and have done a lot to do so. The sequel will be in a far better place now because of they spent the time to fix this game.

Look at No mans Sky and how they've completely transformed the game.

Bruh like I said, Campaign games rarely get second chances. There's too many competition out there.

On top of that, I've seen very little positive things said about CP other than the new updates, which again, is too late. People are over the game.

The funny thing is, COD is doing the opposite of what CPDR is doing - which is a multiplayer game having too many different versions every year and a campaign game not having enough versions. Not many people like Warzone 2 and have been wanting to play Warzone 1.

The issue with working on CP1 is that by the time they work on and finish CP2, there will be too many competition in the market. CPDR is already low on resources and dev power. Whenever a highly acclaimed game comes out, it creates a backlog. I still have a ton of games I want to play.

They have like 3 games in the pipeline ... Witcher 1 remake, Witcher 4 and then what I'm assuming is the cyberpunk sequel.

PC for sure. HDR on most games is 10/10, but for Cyberpunk, you'll be more visually blown away by the ray tracing than the HDR IMO. NO ONE has done ray tracing as good as CDPR with CP2077.

Edit: 3060 might struggle a bit at that resolution with ray tracing, but might be ok with DLSS, I dunno. RTX3080 is the weakest card I've played CP2077 with, and it did ok with DLSS. Might be asking a lot from a 3060 though.

Damn I didn't know CDPR made those other games. All this time I think CDPR was a small studio with only one game made. Fuuuuark lol

If you're used to shooting guns with a controller i think playing it with the ps5 setup you have would be very tempting

at 1440p, your pc specs might have trouble running the game at max settings though you don't really need to run it at max settings to make it really good looking. The max screen space reflections (psycho) doesn't really add much even though it eats up system performance like crazy. You can probably run it well with a mix of medium - high settings + ray tracing.

Without ray tracing that PC shouldn't have any problem running the game at all high.

advantage of PC would of course easier shooting with keyboard + mouse, and then you'll have access to mods. though the game right now doesn't really need mods. I mostly just use mods for new clothing, photo mode, and all those side stuff.

If you're gonna play it on PC with the specs you mentioned i recommend watching this

I never finished it on xbox. So might end up buying it again on PC if it's a lot better now.

Won't have all my sick stuff anymore though, and I had done a money glitch to have unlimited money on the xbox...hopefully they didn't patch that.

It was unplayable on old gen consoles

But on PC where it was always playable, a rating of 8-8.5/10 is not far off because at launch, it was reviewing at 71%, and it was mostly positive on Steam even during the massive ****storm that it had going on at that time because of the broken console release, and it didn't really drop to mixed reviews except when it was being review bombed when CDPR declared support for Ukraine.

That's the thing though. Based on the mostly positive feedback the game has been getting especially after 2.0 and Phantom Liberty, but even way before that during the Edgerunners patch, and even as early as patch 1.3, people have been giving the game a second try, so based on your logic, it's not trash and was never trash.

It's sitting at 92% very positive recent reviews on Steam right now and that's the base game, not the expansion. Phantom Liberty is at 91%

Even though the game was very playable on PC during launch, it was missing features that gamers have come to expect from large AAA open world games like water physics, getting out of the vehicle physics, vehicle combat, etc but at its core, it was always a great game because of the stories within it, human connections, questions about stuff like existentialism, - many of the stuff that people are praising the game for right now have mostly always been there at its core but it was overshadowed by all the talk about its technical issues and missing features. Now that those things have been added or fixed, people can freely talk about the game's strengths that have always been there without getting dogpiled on.

I mean if a game is unplayable on console, it might as well not exist. Lol.

So a good game rating may be accurate for CP, its only limited to a small player base.

I mean, there's lots of good games out there. CP is something you have to REALLY want to play in order to buy. And I guess in my case, judging by the PR, game styling/gameplay, it's not something that entices me.

With current Cod Warzone 2, it is unplayable on PS4, but MW2019 is still highly playable, since it was made to run on PS4 hardware. Not only does Warzone 2 have a low player count due to hardware issues, it sucks ass lmao.

You saying that the player base is small means that like what Relentless said, you're uninformed about the game, which makes sense because you're not interested about it.

But based on actual data, you couldn't be more wrong.

1. Cyberpunk still has the best all-time player peak record on Steam for a single-player game. Not even Hogwarts, Elden Ring, and Baldur's Gate 3 (ER and BG3 have multiplayer features though) were able to beat it

2. Base game has sold 25m copies so far and the Phantom Liberty expansion has sold 4.3m copies with an attachment ratio of 20%. And based on what other game devs are saying, an attachment ratio of 20% is very impressive, especially considering that there's a 2.5years gap between the base game and the expansion.

https://www.pcgamer.com/millions-of-...are-impressed/

3. Cyberpunk drove CDPR to its best Q3 ever back in 2022, and their 2023's Q3 managed to even double that that performance because of update 2.0 + Phantom Liberty

https://www.gamedeveloper.com/busine...er#close-modal

https://www.cdprojekt.com/en/media/n...arter-of-2023/

4. Also the second most played game on Steam Deck for 2023

https://steamdeckhq.com/news/steam-d...games-october/

5. Based on the leaked The Game Awards - Player's Voice results, Cyberpunk 2077 is #2 most voted among games, second only to BG3. Managed to even beat Zelda which surprised me.

I'm not basing this on assumptions, mere observations, and feelings. These are all cold hard numbers.

Lol'd @ 3060.

Play on PS5 with your 4k TV.

As for the game itself, I played it last year when the console update came in. It was decent, not amazing. Definitely felt like a lot of content was missing or could be better. Some annoying characters like Johnny I could do without. I liked the racer chick from the bar and Panam is my oneitis. I'd give it a 7.5. Haven't played the new versions so I don't know what it's like now.

It was good when it released, but a mess on old gen. It's gone through many patches since, and is now stable on last gen, and overhauled on current gen consoles. Definitely worth picking up.

Just started my second play through, first time was on the old xbox with all the issues. Been holding out for a while cause I wanted the fixes, graphics update, etc etc.

For those that got the DLC, where does it fit in? Mid/End game?

Immersion?

Game launched without a Walk button for PC players so they kept demanding it. Community managers forwarded it to the programmers, and in the recent Gamespot CDPR documentary, one of the community managers said that when they forwarded that request, the programmers couldn't understand why players would want a Walk button when it's faster to jog. But yeah they added it in one of the earlier patch, 1.3 maybe.
