Most men and women enter into Law Enforcement?

I am just looking for the average Joe or Jane's views on this.

As for most, I'd say probably a sense of duty and caring about order in society. Similar to what attracts people to being firefighters, marines, teachers, etc-a person wants to contribute to the greater good of society. We can be cynical about it, but ask (or observe) a kid who wants to be a cop and that's what I see.

A conscious,good head on your shoulders, strong desire to protect good people from bad people,proper morals and ethics is the only education. That is required or that should be required to at least have the foundation to build on for the things you must learn and educate yourself on. The proper prerequisites.

With out that proper foundation. Though I think Teddy Rosevelt said it best

No, because the question needs and answer from a nonbiased point of view.

Someone that is is more than welcome to say why they did but getting the truth out of some and I stress the word SOME not all..but getting the truth out of some is almost as impossible as building a working Flux capacitor.

I'd say that's a good kid who has good dreams and goals in life a.selfless one but am honorable one. Then SOME come along and tarnish/destroy all the good all the right things in that kids heart and mind by the shifty disgusting SELFISH not selfless,dishonorable not honorable example they show.

This is why just one bad apples is like a virus and should be eradicated at first symptom and not have a blind eye took to it.

Unlike the majority who are in it for the right reasons and work long and hard to build up a good score. All it takes is the small.minorty doing just one terrible thing to destroy that good score that all the good ones try so hard to build each day.

Am I just a blind idealistic idiot that has a foolish point of view about this and no one sees it that way? Am I that out of step with the reality of it?

well by that response tells me your more biased than i am.i grew up with people who became cops and ive been around cops all my life.so if you think my answer is worthless then screw you too.i give chit answers to chit posters but i also give respectful answers to respectful posters ,which is getting fewer by the day on here.by the way i study law every single day.its why im out of prison right now cause i know the law

i tried to be nice and offered to give you a serious response and you said no,you dont want it so yeah,you said screw me and i said screw you.you want an answer than get it yourself.educate yourself on the law and watch videos and decide for yourself if a cop is enforcing the law or abusing it.check out The Civil Rights Lawyer on youtube.plenty of good information there.have a good day

Hmm in my experience. Civil rights lawyers say "I can't talk to you" or want to then make a complete 180.

But no my response was not saying screw you. Sorry you took it that way. I was simply saying I was looking for civilians point of view. Perhaps I should have been a little more clear in that question.
