Another reason they need an 8 team playoff. This would have been the perfect year for it and given us some excellent games.
No problem with FSU not getting in, they would have been destroyed by a good team with a rookie QB.

More, better ranked wins than FSU. Only lost to #3 when the team was undeveloped. Snapped a 29 game win streak in the #1 back to back champion.
While FSU v. Louisville was probably the most pathetic game ive seen.
Seems like we have some super casual fans in here.
But yeah, just what we all want to see... FSU being a double digit underdog to Mich, and getting prolapsed because they went 13-0 with like the ~55th SoS, vs alabama's 4 or 5.

The SEC was never going to be left out. If Auburn had pulled the upset, and a 2 loss Bama team beat Georgia, the committee would have only dropped Georgia to 4 and left them ahead of FSU. They only put FSU ahead of them at 5/6 to give the impression they actually would consider putting in FSU.

The problem was Texas had literally beat Bama straight up and they couldn't put Bama in front of them, so they dropped FSU instead.
That's what's truly disgusting about the situation imo. They had FSU in their top 4 all year long. Forget Bama, explain how Texas jumps them. Why is 1-loss Texas ahead of FSU? Texas struggled a lot too.

Georgia versus Florida State will confirm that FSU would have gotten annihilated by any of the remaining teams. Maybe they should have gotten in, but at the end of the day the committee doesn't want to see a 50-0 blowout, and Michigan would have stomped them brutally.
