Is Detroit the worst American city because we stole it from Canada?

Wouldn't any Canadian city automatically become the worst American city?

Under British rule Michigan remained a part of Canada. During the American Revolution (1775–83) Detroit was a major supply centre for British troops, who raided the Kentucky country continually until 1779, when the British general Henry Hamilton was captured

I kind of liked Detroit when I visited. The working class population is down to earth, so you don’t that pretentiousness materialist culture most major cities have. The downtown area is starting to bounce back srs and Michigan is a beautiful state. Detroit deserves better. In fact the entire Rust Belt should be doing better than it is. Underrated cities all over.

Must be nice for guys in Detroit to hop over to Windsor where the legal drinking age is 19.

Kinda like guys in Ottawa who hop over to Gatineau where the legal age is 18. That and strippers go completely nude,

Oh you Yanks, where everything is 21 and above...

Same thing in Buffalo where you can just cross into Niagara Falls for a night of drinking.

Although excessive drinking is degenerate behavior. I got all of that out of my system when I was like 15 or 16 srs so never border hopped for that purpose…

I got an enhanced license so I can still cross the border until these are inevitably phased out. It’s the equivalent of a passport card, very convenient and worth the extra few bucks if you go between the U.S. and Canada regularly. Not sure if they offer those in Beaverland.

Definitely miss the old days though. Crossing the border used to be like going through a toll booth. Quick and easy. When I was a kid we could cross with no documentation if we were accompanied by a parent. One of my grandparents married a Canadian later in life so I spent many summers up in Toronto until I was 6 years old or so.
