Any misc coders/software developers?
Saw a course on Udemy for $30..
You can learn front end web development in 6 months.
Java, html, css...
Looked up front end developer jobs in my area..
They all pay 6 figures and up..
Is this chit realistic and doable boyos??
Just with a basic knowledge of algebra?

Are you a six figure web developer?
Do you have an undergrad in comp sci?
I have an undergrad in finance..
Is 3 hrs per day enough time to devote to studying??
I make around 5-10k a month after tax trading stocks online..
I wanted to create a back end program to automate my trades, but I fear it will take years to develop..
Being a profitable trader plus being a software developer would be alpha as fuk.

A young bull and an old bull were standing atop a hill looking at a bunch of heifers in a field below.
The young bull says "Let's run down this hill and fuk one of those heifers."
The old bull replies "No. Let's walk down there, and fuk them all."

There's alot of success stories on reddit of people landing 6 figure jobs being self taught..
What if you saw on my resume I have an undergrad in finance, years of experience in accounting and insurance. Plus I'm a self taught coder?
You wouldn't call me for an interview brah?

But the back end, especially for enterprise apps has been java for the longest time and still is. Most large companies are using a Spring boot backend, which is a java framework. Many companies seek experienced Spring developers, and it's not an oversaturated technology like the JS frontend boot camp gang, but it also requires a deeper understanding of CS fundamentals.

However to answer your question, if you want to learn a front end JS framework like angular node etc, you just need vscode.
Personally, i have used "code with mosh" courses in the past whenever i've had to learn a new technology (so for example, when i learned angular many years ago, i used these videos as a starting point and they were pretty useful). They aren't free though, but they are cheap enough.
If you legit want to learn to program, i'd advise giving yourself a project. Sitting and watching videos and doing samples is all well and good, but until you actually work with real problems (i.e not designed for training) you probably won't be proficient and will likely forget much if you're not using it. Set yourself a goal to code something for yourself, do the tutorials then have a crack at it and see how you get on.

Idk if you'll get six figures right out of the gate, but in a few years you definitely can.

Would never put bootcamp in my resume.
Under skills I would put the languages I know and stack I've learned.
As well as show them a portfolio of websites or apps I may have created if they decide to call me.

You also need to think about what kind of programming you're doing, making websites is one thing, but enterprise (i.e business) development is an entire other world, and has very different programming standards and procedures (brokers, JMS, Proxies, security considerations usually etc)

Ive heard banks spend millions to hire a team of developers to successfully create algorithims to trade in the live capital markets..
I've heard of retail traders with compsci background doing this and making millions.
I've also heard it's better to just do it manually and focus on a few equities during the day
Instead of creating an algorithim to scan for 100s of stocks..
So i was thinking of learning front end and getting a six figure job for extra income and trading from 6:30am to 9:30am like I normally do..

It might be worth applying to some place like Reventure for your first job to get that experience, after you go through the Udemy course. I wouldn't do a paid bootcamp, but one that pays you and places you in exchange for a 2 year contract. It should pay at least $60k a year.

I would think the kind of software you're talking about in finance, at it's core is written in a backend technology OP. Frontend development isn't so hard and you can become proficient in a couple of years, but being a good enterprise back end developer takes a lot of experience, you're usually pretty useless and an 'investment' for your first 3 or so years (even with a degree), which is why companies often like CS degrees as a kind of guarantee on their 'investment'

All you need is for the program to buy at a certain entry price, sell at an exit price and have a stop loss set to sell.
That seems pretty easy. But how do you program the algo to open up your brokerage account and place live trades?
Or consistently scan the market for opportunities?
That seems alot more math focused..
I believe in business keeping it simple works the best..

This is the hardest part, most algo trading relies on sheer volume to make a profit off a .01 spread
