And if that hunch is enough for you to not enjoy it then just f*ck off and do something else with your life. It's not that hard. God forbid you don't watch the playoffs. You just got done saying you're a Notre Dame fan anyway so go live your life instead lmao

And I'm 90%+ sure it's going to be vacated. Again, the last time a title was vacated was 2005, and there was not even a hunch of anything happening at that point. There was no title game played where majority of people had a good hunch that the game would be vacated at the time it was played.
Entire seasons have been vacated for far less.
2004 and 2005 USC for giving Reggie Bush a car
2007 FSU for athletes cheating on tests; all football wins were vacated as well as a track national title
2006 Arkansas State for players failing to meet progress toward degree requirements
2010 Ohio State because a few players got free tattoos from a local parlor
2012 and 2013 Notre Dame because 6 players cheated on a test
2011-14 Louisiana because supposedly one assistant coach "acting alone" falsified ACT scores
Even if you buy the "rogue agent" theory on Stallions (and if you actually believe Harbaugh didn't know anything about that I've got a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you), that matches the defense that Louisiana tried to use and they got hammered as well. The Michigan case is worse than all the ones I listed: it gave them a competitive advantage on the field against teams they played this year. The NCAA is going to hammer them, it's just a question of when. Unfortunately they've been notoriously slow with these investigations in the past, but supposedly the rumor is they're expediting this one and we'll know something by April. Doesn't do much good for those of us watching the playoff though unfortunately.

If they weren't good enough to get here without the cheating they'll lose to all the better competition they have to play these next 2 games. And if they don't lose then they probably didn't need the cheating in the first place to get here and would be in this spot anyway.
I'm sticking to hoping they stomp Bama. After that I really don't care who wins between the other 3 teams for the actual championship. F*ck Bama. I would rather we give Michigan the green light to cheat substantially against Bama just to get rid of them if needed than see them win.

This year, Bama has been more of an improvised team put together by a running QB and needing to squeak out close wins against the likes of Auburn and South Florida.Glad Alabama got the spot. This is bigger than FSU at this point. If Michigan reaches the title game, the title game becomes meaningless because it will be vacated down the road, and we will know that while watching the game making it a bummer to watch. Alabama gives them a good game and likely wins. FSU would get blown out by 3 TDs.
People are high on the Tide because of their win against Georgia but the Dawgs were not nearly at the level they were at the past 2 years. They played close games against the likes of Auburn and South Carolina earlier in the year and that was with a healthy Bowers. Bama beat a Dawgs team without a fully healthy Bowers and now people are riding their coat tails.
Michigan is just too physical at the line of scrimmage and stocked with NFL-level talent at key positions for Bama to have a chance. The Tide needed a miracle against Auburn while Michigan won convincingly against the likes of Penn St and to an extent even Ohio St. I don't think this is a close game by any means.
Michigan wins by a pretty big margin. This is not the same Bama team from their championship days and Milroe is not Tua or Jones or Young.
Even on defense, you give up more than 70 yds per game than the Wolverines do while playing inferior competition like USF and Auburn.

Also the only common game you had with FSU was LSU and your game was a lot closer. Really don't know where Bama fans get off thinking they are going to run sh*t in this playoffs. No sh*t but you are literally the worst team in the playoffs. You already lost to Texas. Michigan and Washington have both beaten better teams. The reality is Ohio State is probably the best team out of everyone but they just drew the odd year of playing @Michigan and that tipped it to the Wolverines. If Michigan can beat OSU though Bama will not be the "likely" team to win by any stretch.
As for the win over UGA, with all respect to Georgia they've been injured all year and have had a pretty easy schedule. This really isn't the UGA team of the past two years. They're still very good, are a legitimate playoff team, and should have beaten Bama but they've looked shaky at times this year and you caught them on one of those shaky weeks.

I am in the same boat as you. Historically, the more physically dominant team at the line of scrimmage has won the national title. The Tide were that in their runs with Saban and Georgia had that in their 2 title wins, especially the first. This year, Georgia struggled against the likes of Auburn and South Carolina, needing come-from-behind victories to beat both teams. People are drinking the Bama Kool-Aid because of their win against a Georgia team that was a former shell of itself this year, riddled with injuries, and constantly underperforming.
Even the title game was relatively close despite Bowers being mostly injured and there being some questionable calls but we will ignore that.
The truth is that Bama is just not built to go against a physically dominant team that can pressure the QB, shut down the run, and completely shut down their offense. People say the Wolverines don't face a QB like Milroe but the backup to McCarthy is a vicious runner.
In every facet of the game that matters, Michigan is flat-out better than Bama. I will not be shocked if the Wolverines win by 4 tds and this ends up being College Football's version of Germany vs. Brazil.

Michigan very well might beat Alabama but it's not going to be because they had a tougher schedule.

Extremely unpopular opinion time.
If FSU were to beat UGA I think there should be a shared champion situation between them and whoever wins the playoffs. Beating UGA was enough to gift wrap a playoff spot for Bama. Why should it not be enough to also recognize an undefeated FSU at that point as a shared champion?
I know they don't do the whole shared champion thing any more so it's not possible to actually happen but like I said unpopular opinion. I would be all for this to be real after how they got hosed.

It becomes more evident every year, but all the people who warned the changes would ruin college football appear to be right.
- there is actually less stability on college teams than in the NFL. In the pros at least players sign multi year contracts. Now plenty of players jump ship at first sign of not getting the snaps they feel they deserve. On every team there is a huge chunk that are first year players, beyond just the usual freshman aspect.
- bowl games mean a lot less now. In addition to lots of players transferring after the season and before the bowl, there are now tons of players opting out of bowl games. Even if they aren’t highly projected, and sometimes even if it’s a good/great bowl game, they’ll still sit out. All it takes is one or two players out and it completely changes the game.
- more and more rivalry games are being lost. First they were lost due to teams leaving conferences, and now they’re being lost due to conferences getting so big. For example SC doesn’t even play UGA next season. Not a huge rivalry, but still one that it sucks to lose. And there are similar examples with practically every single team in a major conference now.
- with the playoff expansion next year it means the regular season(or even conference championship games) won’t mean nearly as much. This was one of the greatest aspects of college football(particularly when coupled with the upset factor and underdogs playing spoiler each week). Now with the expansion it completely changes the impact of individual games, which will ultimately affect how players and coaches view games and the season, and how they approach things.
Sucks that such an amazing sport has gone through so many drastic changes with all of them making the game actually worse instead of better. I can’t think of another instance where a sport has been on such a bad trajectory in such a short period of time.

FSU is going to get obliterated by Georgia.
Roster gets weaker every day from the portal, opt-outs, injuries.

After star wide receiver Keon Coleman declared for the NFL draft on Wednesday, the Seminoles' depth chart looks extremely different than the one from the regular season with more than 20 players having opted out either by entering the transfer portal or to prepare for the NFL.
Coleman, Johnny Wilson and tight end Jaheim Bell, the three leading receivers for the team this season, have all opted out.
Quarterback Tate Rodemaker, who started against Florida after Jordan Travis suffered a season-ending injury, entered the transfer portal on Monday. Leading rusher Trey Benson, starting defensive linemen Jared Verse and Fabien Lovett and cornerback Akeem Dent are among the other notable players who won't be on the field against Georgia.
And Jaheim Bell played for SC last year. Left before our bowl game with Notre Dame(along with some others). He ends up at FSU, and then does the same exact thing despite it being the state he’s from AND such a huge game for the team. Sh!t is weak.

I don't see you crying that the NFL doesn't have a consolation bracket that forces all the non-playoff teams to play more games after the season ends. Who the f*ck wants to watch that? It's the same with bowl games that mean nothing.

I know you acknowledged it's not a big rivalry, but by this logic you might as well be upset UGA loses the rivalry of playing Vanderbilt every year too now that the SEC isn't structured where the East teams all play each other. This is really a non-issue imo. As long as each school keeps 2 or 3 major rivalries there's nothing lost imo. Georgia will still play Florida and GATech every year and that's how it should be. Maybe Auburn or Tennessee are kept as a 3rd annual opponent, we'll have to see. Even if not though it's not a big deal.

No this was one of the worst aspects of it. You can literally get eliminated from playing Alabama in the SEC championship game after running the table otherwise. Or worse, you go undefeated in the ACC, going out of your way to schedule a major non-conference SEC opponent in LSU for that matter, and still get left out. It's a shame it's set up this way in reality. There's at least 8-12 teams that should be playing against each other at the end every year settling it on the field. The regular season is still going to be extremely important. You look at the top 8 rankings and there's only 1 team that has two losses and that's Oregon who lost to the same f*cking team twice.

So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

I would be on board with your statement about the regular season meaning something if these teams didn't play 80% cupcakes every year. You look at any one of the top teams schedule and there's maybe 3 games that they could theoretically lose. The others are all lopsided in talent and only a loss happens if the favored team utterly chokes, which does happen, but is rare and not worthwhile.
If you want to make the regular season really mean something, have the contenders playing each other more frequently. F*ck the conferences and create the schedules based off of the projected rankings and then the regular season would be fun. Right now too many joke games that aren't even worth flipping on.
Michigan for example played Ohio State and Penn State. That was it. Everyone else they beat by 24 points or more, with the exception of Maryland being sneaky to be competitive. That was an exciting regular season to you? Jesus you have low standards if so.
UGA, who didn't even make the playoffs, really only played Bama, Mississippi, and Missouri. They did have a problem with sluggish starts so some of their scores are admittedly closer against much worse talent (i.e. Georgia Tech) but they were never really in danger of losing. And they actually blew out Mississippi but were talking about being matched up with quality and that one counts. Sometimes blowouts still happen with two quality teams playing so it would be hypocritical not to count it. But you got 3 good games (aka evenly matched teams) from them compared to Michigan's 2 good games.

You obviously think college football had lots of issues and that it is getting much better now. I think it used to be far and away the best sport and now is getting worse in many ways. I guess you should just be happy that you think it’s getting better.
Edit to add to your statement

Bruh…when you recruit the best players every year and bring in more from the portal it’s impossible to have a lot of evenly matched games. There are only so many elite teams available during a year and there’s no way they can all play each other(or even play more than a couple each year). Trust me I know, SC always has one of the toughest schedules in the country. Next year we play Bama, LSU, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, A&M, and clemson. If UGA wants to play that kind of schedule every year(or even tougher) then by all means write the commissioner. But point being, only two or three of those teams would be considered close to UGA, and that’s with an insanely tough schedule. You can’t give every team that type of schedule, and even if you could…again UGA is at too high of a level to play lots of teams that are in their level.

Honestly it wouldn't be hard for UGA to schedule 7 or 8 teams that are quality enough and have the talent to compete with UGA. They may still be the more talented and favored team, sure. But there's a huge difference between playing a team that's an underdog but has enough talent that their odds of beating you aren't totally far fetched compared to teams that really have almost no shot unless UGA simply decides to not play football that day (and like I said that will happen on rare occurrences because these are college kids... but it's not worth watching 50+ games of cupcakes for the 1 time a major school does fall asleep and gets beat against someone who has no business beating them).
But back to UGA. If they put Bama, LSU, Ole Miss, Missouri, FSU, Louisville, NC State, and Clemson on their schedule that would be a season worth watching. Why would that be hard to make happen? All of those schools are within a reasonable driving distance to UGA. It's not like I'm forcing them across the country. And honestly I think if they had 1 cross country trip even that would not be a huge burden for them to bear. You've then got enough space for another 3 games against people like Georgia Tech, Auburn, and Tennessee so they're not left out even though they don't really have the talent. Although Auburn and Tennessee I could at least argue are on the peripheral of having the talent to be a worthwhile matchup for UGA, but not this year.
I think you're missing the point in thinking UGA's opponents need to be completely equal to them. There's always going to be one team that's the best so of course that's not realistic. But there is a huge difference in UGA playing the teams I mentioned above than having them play SC (no offense), Vandy, UAB, UK, etc for what constitutes 85% of their schedule. That's ridiculous. Why not f*cking throw in a high school team for good measure? Honestly is there much difference? The disparity is so great for those opponents they might as well be playing high school teams.
Not sure why something like scheduling teams where the disparity isn't so large is so inconceivable.
It could work similarly for teams like Oregon. If they played Washington, Texas, Oklahoma, Oregon State, Michigan, Arizona, Notre Dame, and Ohio State. Then you have your 3 or so games for the leftovers like USC, California, and Colorado so they aren't left out.
God forbid we cut out the f*cking Hawaii and Portland St. games.
Let's be real we basically pick the championship game off of rankings. Why is it such a stretch to shape the schedules based on preseason rankings? Recruiting classes have effectively signed for next year at this point. Wouldn't be hard to spin up some preseason rankings as soon as this years and declarations have been made for the NFL to know how each team is shaped for next year.

So no, it’s not possible to do it with all the great teams. And if you tried it would be all the top teams already playing each other, which just make the playoffs suck more because it would just be a bunch of rematches. But again, it isn’t really possible because it would just be the top 25 teams playing other top 25 teams every week, which isn’t possible or even realistic.
