Does smashing pumpkins deserve to have

The same respect as nirvana or or nine inch nails?

Does anyone else see that early mid 90s grunge scene sort of like punk music before it but on a not higher level but more commercial level?

Does that question. Make sense?

I have no idea what youre saying.

NIN=Smashing Pumpkins

Nirvana> SP+NIN

Maybe had to due with the death of Cobain, but they were bigger.

At age 49 you know this.

They were all good...Smashing Pumpkins def deserves its credit and is underrated.

Smashing Pumpkins way better than Nirvana.

About equal to Nine Inch Nails. I'd say NIN best album was better than Smashing Pumpkins best, but Smashing Pumpkins has more pretty good albums than NIN.

Siamese Dream is a masterpiece and one of the best albums of the 90s. The problem with the SM is you can't replicate their material live, it's too structured. They suck live, I saw them at Lollapalooza back then.

Nirvana on the other hand sounded good live, they just brought on a second guitar player (Pat Smear). Also saw them live.

Not even talking about the quality of the music. But nirvana had way more of a cultural impact than either of the others. You still sometimes see people were nirvana t shirts to this day. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone wear a NIN shirt and certainty not ever a smashing pumpkins one
Best lifts:
Bench press: 315x5
Squat: 465x1
Strict press: 205x5
Deadlift: 405x13 (conv tap'n'go with straps)

This. They’re fuking great. I think AIC, Soundgarden, Nirvana, STP, & SP deserve every bit of acclaim they’ve gotten.

NIN isn’t bad but can’t hold a candle to any of these bands. They’re also not really in the same category of music.

Fair assessment. NIN shouldn't even be mentioned with any of those bands.

I never saw SP live in their prime but I've seen them twice since 2010 or so and they just don't have the same presence and performance of an "all time great" band.
I've heard the same from people who did see them in the 90s/early 2000s as well.
I still enjoyed the concerts but IMO this held them back from reaching the next level.

nirvana does not deserve the respect they get so this is kind of a weird question.

pumpkins are a better band imo
