Obviously I wasn't there and can only go off of what is depicted in movies/history books. In movies where jews or POWS were loaded into trucks and driven out to a field and told to get out and stretch or something and then mowed down with a machine gun.

Good question but there are no mass graves of Jews that were gassed so I guess they all had to be burned to a crisp afterwards *shrugs*

The US had concentration camps too but do we equate FDR with Hitler?

It makes a gigantic deal for the historical narrative. They weren't intentionally starved to death either. Germany just ran out of supplies towards the end of the war. There just wasn't food for them

You bring up a good point. I think the ovens were also used for heating the facilities so maybe you only burned the bodies necessary for heat and the spill over you'd just throw in a mass grave.

it becomes a non-issue because everyone is guilty of it. they can't use the framework that it was a systematic culling of a ethnic group of people for victim status.

Makes some sense. Wouldn't become a non-issue to me but I can understand how the narrative would shift. Im gonna see if I have some time this weekend to check out that documentary.

I mean I would ask the same question back to you. It is 100% undisputed that jews were round up like cattle (ironic), everything they had was taken from them, and they were put into inhuman conditions. Pretty terrible and evil chit.
