Many are saying this was a scam from the start.

A company founded in Russia but now is being developed in Singapore.

I honestly don't see this as a scam.

Seems more fitting that they overhyped and under delivered but the only ppl who lost money are investors? Valve is giving everyone their refunds and I think they have something like a 30 day escrow where the Devs wouldn't get the money until 30 days after sales. So the company can't take the money and run?

Hell just take TLOU 2 as an example. Years later they still haven't delivered the multiplayer, is that a scam?

Well it was probably more on the scam side because they were basically stealing everything from other franchises. Promotional art, trailers, pretty much anything and everything was almost directly stolen or ripped off. Delays, obvious changes in final product vs trailers and promos. The final product looked absolutely nothing like the trailers.

Like everything about it pointed more to being an actual scam. And it was. 4 days later the devs shut down and run away with whatever money they still can.

All I knew about this game:

- Some trailer that looked fake and gay

- Devs claim that the game wasn't fake or gay

- Radio silence

- The Day Before releases, gets shát on like a Saudi Arabian prostitute, and the whole upper deck of cards falls apart as the game is no longer sold on Steam and the studio "closes down."

And I'mstillleft wondering why this generic looking zombie game was called "The Day Before" if it took placeafterthe zombie apocalypse? The day beforewhat, assh0les?!

In any case, it gets even better because the developershave not closed down, but rather went back to their old name:
"On another note, developers of The Wild Eight are proud to present their new name – Fntastic! During the whole development process the team has grown up – both in experience and amount of people (and previous name Eight Points was mainly about the first eight developers who started it all). To express gratitude to the ones who worked on The Wild Eight but left the team we would like to keep Eight Points as the second developer.

- Ed Gotovsev, CEO Fntastic"
https://steamdb.info/app/526160/history/

The Day Before studio seemingly attempts to scrub itself from Steam by changing back to its 2017 name, amid review-bombing campaign of its entire catalog
Now, there are concerns that the studio is attempting to cover its tracks. Over the past 24 hours, The Day Before and the studio's previous game, Propnight, both saw their developers change, as documented via SteamDB. Both games changed their listed developer from 'Fntastic' to 'Mytona Fntastic' for a few hours, before changing back to 'Fntastic'. Mytona, the game's publisher, recently confirmed refunds for all those who purchased The Day Before, regardless of the traditional two hour refund window on Steam.

Elsewhere, another of the studio's games, 2019 survival co-op game The Wild Eight, has seen its developer renamed to Eight Points. As Steam sleuths have worked out, however, that's just the name that Fntastic went by before changing to its current name in 2017 - that change was even proudly announced by the studio's CEO in a development update about The Wild Eight.

So, FNTASTIC is changing all of their other games on Steam to different companies.

The fact that not only were people hyped for this obvious crock, but there were so many pre-orders is why we can't have nice things anymore. I knew that the average gamer was borderline retarded before, but now I think it's safe to say that they passed the line.

Because it is not the game they said it will be. They knew this and withheld info from public and still released the game, then suddenly vanished.

As many said, they always knew they had no intentions of releasing the game they said it will be and even if plans changed, they never told anyone.

Even the "players" arefake.
I was banned on their discord for asking THIS!
“ A question to the devs and players!

I just unplugged my internet cable from my pc, and still could hear gunshots across the streets, why? “

Remember this is my first comment on their discord server!

nothing wrong with asset flipping if you paid for the assets. No idea why that's a fooking problem at all.

What is the issue otherwise? Is it not really an mmo? They said the servers are still up?

failing to find the problem here because I don't know chit about the game. didn't even hear about this until now.
