My problem with all of those really vocally religious women like them is that they invariably have a super slutty past they're trying to cover up at a minimum. It's never 100% fully genuine when they actively proselytize. Seen it way too many times before to still be fooled by the religious good girl routine.

They need your prayersandyour "support", oh how convenient. Though in all fairness, the lefties collect handouts too, but they don't fill you with the prayers and hope crap on the side too much. The lefties usually just say "put money into my donation/gofundme for this stupid social justice cause I've decided to obsess over" and call it a day.

I think that it is funny that people seem to pretend that there are 1000 new ways to reinvent the wheel. As if knowledge, practice and wisdom gained by people before us. Can just be all together ignored.

I like to believe when it comes to religious text, the best lens to view it is thru a metaphorical lens. Often times as science advances we seem to want to pretend that invalidates religion somehow. But I think that the opposite is actually true and it all depends on how you look at it. There are many good stories, lessons and life guidelines found within all religious texts. By taking a metaphorical look at we can discuss it openly and try to find our own way of relating it to our lives. Biology is biology, medicine is medicine and laws of nature are laws of nature. But many of these things that we come to learn thru science and advanced mathematics and physics? Goes to show us the incredibly precise constructs which guide our lives here. Perfect patterns and structures and guidelines to our lives. That there is no possible way this could be random.

At the heart of all religions there is more than just the pursuit of finding a higher power or god. There is also finding a relationship and way to connect with one another. These crazy ideologies that seek to find endless differences between people and draw imaginary lines in the sand. I don’t think often times are doing anyone favors. You create animosity and a divide and then wonder why it’s causing people to separate. It just doesn’t make much sense to me.

Religion is a coping strategy for many. If you really consider it, which is an easier cawk to swallow? 1: I did many things I regret terribly and consider myself a crap human being that has pissed away his one shot at life, or 2: I can be redeemed in the eyes of god. I can atone for my sins. god forgives all. I have a chance of entering heaven for all eternity so I must repent as I don't want to spend my entire afterlife being assraped by demons in the bowels of hell.

This is also a really terrible example but when people experience the unfathomable tragedy of losing a child, the same applies. 1: my child died because he had a disease and was dealt a schit hand in life. It's excruciating but it happens. There isn't much meaning to life and death. We're born, we die. Or 2: god wanted another angel for his kingdom. god has a plan. I'll see my child one day and we'll be together again.

Fuk just made myself tear up writing that. Can't blame parents for going the second route. Completely understandable and I have empathy for them and their beliefs.
