Alcohol is magic when cutting
If you do it right and control calories and have a few drinks It pretty much gets rid of water retention and you look leaner. lol lost 4lbs overnight when I weighed in today. I’ll likely go up a couple pounds as I eat normally but I’ll still be at a net loss with my weigh ins
Problem is people have no self control when it comes to drinking and binge eat after. Control yourself boyos

Yea I always lose a few lbs the morning after a binge. The trick is not to pig out on food. The booze doesn't mess you up, its the food

All you're doing is purging water weight with a diuretic. You'll put it right back on the next day.

It’s not necessarily deleterious either, as long as you don’t go too extreme. Also I’d probably veer towards spirits/whiskeys as opposed to something like beer

In theory yes, assuming you don't binge and its not long term.
I've lost 5-10 lbs by only consuming everclear and lean protein overnight.
Some of you need to do some research before talking chit about alcohol, it cannot be converted to fat and helps you look leaner due to dehydration. Pretty sure there was a story about Ronnie finally winning it all due to alcohol

I could see one night after doing this. I used to have a friend who would get sh*faced almost every night in his 20's and would always say how alcohol makes him leaner (he was actually big into fitness). Anyways, he would be 40 today but died of liver failure at 34 and would've needed a new kidney (he could've survived a bit longer if it was just the kidney problem) There's actually a story on the front of foxnews (should still be on front page) how studies have shown a few drinks every night is significantly healthier than binge drinking just a couple nights a week.
The lean feeling after a night of drinking is awesome. But that damage (especially to liver and kidneys when dehydrated) ain't it man. I say this as someone who got a liver transplant. I never consumed drugs/tech or anything except binging on alcohol every night and starting binging at 10am Sundays during football season.

I guess the one good use for alcohol while cutting is, if you're being strict with your diet but retaining a lot of water, and the scale's not really dropping, you can go get chitfaced for a night to piss it all out and blow through that plateau.
It's not something you want to make a habit of though. A shot of whiskey has the same amount of calories as a can of Coke, which no one would recommend drinking regularly on a cut. And cocktails get even worse with sugary mixers and chit.
