Got rich by getting a job (full time) and holding it - long term.
Anyone who says they've been working, when in reality they've only held jobs for a few months at a time, don't count.

not rich my misc standards but will never have to work another day in my life.

saved money, bought my first apartment in my mid 20's. sold that and bought a house. sold that for 4x on equity. bought another house and sold that for 3x on equity. went balls deep on TSLA. make on average 5x more than all my expenses combined, just by selling calls on TSLA.

Started a business out of my garage. Built it over 20 years then sold half to PE and gifted half to the employees. Couple years later I started working for another company, helped the owner sell it and moved into the CEO role. Built that company to a large firm and sold it to another PE firm that allowed the employees to all make out really well. I never graduated high school, never read a management book and basically just treated employees like family and clients like friends.

Huge part of my, and everyone's, success is luck. I had gobs of it over time and things going my way is 95% of the reason that I don't work as an assistant manager in a car wash. I try to remember that and take care of the people that didn't have the ball bounce their way.

I started working at the company I wanted to work for as a receptionist during college breaks in the summer. I asked the Executive admins to give me work to do so I could learn.

Then I worked there part-time as an Admin.

Then I landed a summer internship.

Then they brought me back after I graduated.

Later I started my own consulting firm with subcontractors and this company was the client.

I just lol at Zoomers who write me on LinkedIn and think they can just get a degree with zero experience and work at my company.

Hard work and focus over a very long time. I have a masters degree in anesthesia which was competitive as **** and grad school was hard as **** and stressful as ****. If I failed out I would have been $200k in debt with a barely useful neuroscience degree. Now I'm a traveling anesthetist and set for life making more than almost all doctors ($2-$3k a day depending on if it's OT or not) but I sacrificed for many MANY years to get to this level. I do a ton of OT now and invest every extra penny into the sp500 index (VOO) and a little into VXUS (international index fund) to diversify and my money works for me and I will be set to retire at 40-42 with $3-4 million dollars or so in index funds depending on how the market does. There's NO SECRET to getting rich, it's just hard ass work to get a very good job and grinding your ass off for a long time and investing wisely into low cost index funds is the best way.

half of my family are immigrants from asia.

the other half are americans.

on my asian immigrant side, they all came to america poor AF.

eventually most of them opened small businesses.

i worked in my families businesses myself since i was a little kid.

now i own my own business. thats how i got rich. srs

my brother also opened a similar business in a different state. he's much richer than me too

lol no offense but don't you think the whole traveling nurse thing is a sham?

it literally makes no sense for the people/patients.

brb don't pay local nurses/medical staff enough, but we'll fly nurses out here and they get paid double our local nurses.
