Buy a power rack, adjustable bench, one or two 300lb Olympic weight sets (they come with a barbell) and forget PF.
If you’re saying cost is an issue, think about the cost of gas when you drive to the gym. A basic home gym will pay for itself in a year.

The gym is walking distance man. I'm not going to spell out my current situation over a discussion over planet fitness lol.

Recommendation noted.

Actually there is one in equal distance. I just believe I may owe them for a previous membership I have not been able to square away yet..

Trust me it is considered if that's not the case I would love crunch. It's a good gym

Signed up for their 30 day trial membership last year and never got to go cause I was out of town. I forgot to cancel the membership.

Should probably check on that today. Not just for my standing with the gym hut to see if anything has gone against my credit.

Got scammed at a gym when I was about 23. Signed up for what I was told was a trial.membership and a month later they claimed I owed them almost $500 claiming I signed up for a year..

Was some army recruiter/car salesman that pulled a con job on me. Had to speak to the owner to get it taken care of. Was a small.locally owned gym

How old are you that you're so broke, that you have to workout at PF, because it's at walking distance?

****s sake, my high-school gym was more of a gym, than PF.

Hmm if you can read.my age is right under my handle.

As for your other question. Don't concern yourself life delivers hurdles as the years go by and as you get older those hurdles are not so easy to jump.

Im.working on it.

I made a lot of progress at PF. Only reason I stopped going is because it's always crowded AF where I currently live. $10/month means it's packed to the brim in larger towns.

this is what I did starting out. Not only that, when I decided to start going to the gym, I was able to sell the weights off and get back most of what I paid for them. So I had a home gym for almost free.

Crunch is pretty decent. I also don't understand why you care so much/get so triggered over where other people choose to workout.

More people going to those places = less people taking up space at your gym.

It also shows how pathetic society has become. A gym where you can't bench, squat, deadlift, military press, do bent over rows, t-bar row, etc, isn't a gym. It's a gym catered to the weak. They don't even want you to get better, or progress.

Look at their commercials, it's usually some soft, soy infused, confused male in his 30s. Or some skinny fat chick who's insecure.

As Americans we used to have this, "We are the best mentality."

Nkw we have Zoomers getting anxiety over ordering food at a restaurant......

It's as far as you can get, it's probably very far away from what can be done with gymnastics/calisthenics. And you might have no interest in pushing to the next level there, it's an extremely steep curve that is not as easy as just adding a little more weight to the bar.

I had the black card membership to Planet Fitness for close to a year before I cancelled. Went there 3 times, counting the 3rd time when I went there to cancel. It was mostly empty for times I went and the peeps there were .....not inspiring.

All I need is a place to hang my rings, which I can do at home, but I go to a commercial gym that cost the same as PF and is filled with booty girls....which I don't have at home..and work on planche, front lever, pancake, splits and other stuff.

I have local chain gyms that cost same as PF or a little more. Look around, days of 24hr fitness having salesman setting the price is over, they are going out of business doing that ****. My local chain within only the city and local chain within only the tri-state has set price and it's only $10/mo for 1 gym or ~$20/mo for multi gym access.
