Cons:

Tells everyone you're a dork.

loliddunomane. Would rather just use a decent Tissot watch and smartphone for calls and calendar. I have a fitbit but only wear that for working out, won't catch me ded wearing it outside of gym.

So you are embarrassed of yourself for understanding the benefits of having one.

Classy traditional watch that tells the time and actually looks good

High end smartphone for doing the actual phone thing and planning

Fitbit for tracking gym/health stuff while in the gym

What am I missing out on exactly? If anything I have the best of all worlds by having dedicated devices for my needs while your smartwatch tries to do everything but is a master of nothing. And to top it off it looks ugly on your wrist.

tbh I'd love to have a smartphone, have tried both android and apple watch.. both gave me very strong headaches, almost migraines daily.. The moment I took it off my headache would go away, figured its got to be the bluetooth..

Don't use it for test messages or phone calls. Although I'll glance to see who is texing or calling if I'm not near my phone.
Tracking exercise, sleep, heart rate, blood pressure, etc is valuable to me.

Pros:

Health monitoring
Easy music control
Easy quick message glance
AFib/hard fall detection
Etc

Cons:

Big tech and data brokers, and by extension every govt on earth now has all of your biological data

I wear it all the time, I've had the BP Doctor watch for almost a year now. So far so good. All monitored data (sleep, heart rate, blood sugar, blood pressure, step count, etc.) are important to me.

Have one. Works great for health purposes, and I can leave my phone at home when at gym/running, cuz the watch serves as my music source, calls, etc.

When I go out on a date, etc, I have my Omega.

Training performance has skyrocket because of my smart watch.

I no longer depend on “time” for rest. I depend on heart rate. Heart rate is far more accurate/superior to time.

Not going to knock it but personally never saw the point. Feel the same way with a lot of new tech coming out. How lazy can everyone get FFS (not smart watches, everything else)?

i hate to agree with this Vaxcel loser but its right about this......................

control music, take or reject calls, step count, calendar reminders, and of course the TIME all at a quick glance instead of digging your phone out everytime

You still have to take out your phone to send that text or email so I don't see why you would add an extra step of looking at your wrist before taking your phone out.

Oh and paying $200 for the privilege to do so. I just leave my phone on my desk and it serves the same purpose.

.
assuming you want to respond immediately and you can send direct from the watch anyway if you want to, often you do not need to respond and when you are on the move its far easier.

NB if you have ear buds listening to music and a call comes in , you can see who it is and decide to take it or not without taking your phone out of your pocket or bag

i thought like you until i got one , now its a must have
