Whoever it is, they are so ****ed. The best option is it being someone new, like Ziggler, which I need to be clear - that will suck. The best option they have is to do something that *only* sucks.

Otherwise?

MJF himself. Idiotic.
Adam Cole. He's injured (again) and it's stupid.
Chris Jericho. Were any of the Devils fatbodies?
Colt Cabana. Would be so bad, this would eclipse the Shockmaster in wrestling catastrophes.
Jungle Boy. No comment.
Will Ospreay? Meh. Still sucks, maybe less than Ziggler.

Nobody they have would make any sense or be interesting and they don't have access to any notable free agents, certainly not any people aren't fully aware of and expecting. Personally, I hope it's Colt, who comes back, forms a horrible heel group w/ the Young Bucks, Jungle Boy and Brandon Culter. Then the day after it's announced AEW loses their TV deal to WWE.
All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

Atleast they still have ratings flop MJF, bag of milk Kingston, and green ass Skye Blue to carry the weight.

Time to move on from guys around which the company was formed, they did their best in those 4 years, but in wrestling things always change...

A better suggestion would be to put the world title on Jon Moxley and build wrestlers around him, he is not so much young and not so much veteran and can put on decent matches regularly and is quite popular with the wrestling fans.

If he wasn’t the son of a billionaire, AEW wouldn’t exist. He was a fool to make wrestlers a part of the office. Hiring their friends and family into behind the scenes positions they aren’t qualified for and as wrestlers who aren’t good enough to be on tv really harmed the company.

This is also coz many people see 'AEW as a competitor to WWE', but are we sure that was the 'original intent' when setting up AEW? I think they were trying to create something different so different kinds of wrestlers were gathered from the indies who might have never featured in WWE and then later on many ex-WWE wresters were signed who were already popular. It is ok if the company started with a group of wrestlers having special authority, they were average wrestlers but it's alright, they did their best in the last 4 years and they would have needed a few wrestlers in the creative anyways. Maybe now it's to move on and do something different as things always change in wrestling. We should also take into note that company was severely effected with arrival of Covid soon after it's existence. Why not appreciate the small history of some very good matches AEW has performed over the years, at least we can see they put in high effort to entertain the fans. I didn't know who Kenny Omega was before AEW, Cody Rhodes might not have a second chance in WWE if he didn't work in AEW and we may have missed Chris Jericho, Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley forever if they were not in AEW.

Their stated goal was to provide an alternative, not a haven for wrestlers that would never actually get over in America.

Tony Khan tried to hire Jim Cornette to produce the shows but he didn’t want to work with the Young Bucks. AEW might be better off if he’d chosen Cornette over them.

Everyone complains about the lack of merchandise available at AEW live events. The person in charge of that is one of the Young Bucks wives and it happened because AEW just used pro wrestling tees for its merchandise instead of finding a cheaper alternative to mass produce and setting up warehouses to distribute the merchandise because her qualifications was making the Young Bucks gear and handling their individual merchandise. I went to an AEW event and wanted to buy a shirt but couldn’t find any. They’ve thrown away millions.

The travel coordinator for AEW is a jobber that carries the Young Bucks bags. Multiple people complained about the travel accommodations and lack of communication from AEW for their London show. Culminating with leaving the biggest star in the company completely on his own to find his hotel.

Those are just issues that have come out in the dirt sheets.

They also made numerous blunders with their hiring of wrestlers. The 4 foot tall kid that looked like a child who fellated a dildo on an indie show while he was under contract, Joey Janella — they were also negotiating with LA Knight and dropped the ball on negotiations with him. Could AEW use some with the looks, charisma of Knight? Certainly, more than they needed either of those jabronis.

And while some wrestlers helping with the booking might have been inevitable, the wrestlers that do that have to have thick skin. The Young Bucks and their allies took passive aggressive shots at him and then after the conflict refused to meet with Punk and make money out of the situation.

I don’t know if it will be fatal but Tony Khan got into the business with the wrong people and it has cost them.

The Bucks also wanted to bring in Joey Ryan, but at least Khan had enough sense to shut that down.

With the way Tony Khan has been acting on social media, it would be hard to feel bad for him if AEW lost their TV deal.

The Elite partnered up with him because any promoter who is actually serious about making money would tell them their chit is stupid as phuck and only plays in either Japan or the indy scene. Tony don't care though. He's the very definition of a money mark. He's grinning like a possum over a turd because he gets to play EWR only in real-life and hang out with wrestlers all the time. It's ain't even his money anyway. His father's a multi-billionaire and as long as Pa keeps footing the bills, he doesn't have to worry about things like TV ratings, selling tickets, pay per view buys and in general trying to run the company like an actual business. It's nice work if you can get it.
