Chappelle doesn't give a fuk. With his notoriety and wealth, dude can say whatever he wants with impunity.
Still have not watched his new special. Will eventually get around to it.

It was such a mediocre special and it felt like some of those jokes were in there specifically to try to recreate the viral outrage that brought massive attention to his last special.
Idk it felt transparent af to me. I thought the whole special was lazy af. Idk I guess I expect someone who everyone considers the "goat" to have better material than just blatantly making fun of handicap people for the first 20 min, then closing out with 20 minutes of Dave worshipping himself as a successful dreamer.

I think he's gotten to a point where he might not have carefully prepped a pile of material and a very tight special, but rather, just steps on stage with a mic and goes for it. It seems really flowing and verbose to me. That's probably my favorite thing about him, though. I like how he can basically just step out in front of people and just start talking and he's engrossing enough to want to stop and listen. Who is gonna 'cancel' this guy? He already got 'cancelled' when the media called him a crackhead for whistle blowing R Kelly and refusing season 3 of his TV show, what, 25 years ago?
Crazy how Dave got run out of Hollywood back then and R Kelly went on raping for another few decades.

He was best for his skits which he has abandoned that show. He could always do a skit show on netflix. it doesnt even have to be called the same thing. His stand ups are just a lot of talking. Even at his prime his skit show is what did it not his stand ups which were lower tier.

We don’t need the skits anymore, that’s just life now.

Absolutely pissening arrangement.

I would put a good amount of comedians in an "elite" class. Especially now that so many comics are either crowd work hipsters (Matt Rife, Natalie Cuomo) or Joe Rogan runoffs that aren't that great (Tom Segura, Bert Kreischer, Schwaub).

He still has some really problematic views on BLM which tempers the media's reaction to his other jokes.
