I agree with a lot of what BBMG posts. It is extremely hard especially for ethnics/manlets/average guys find girls to date especially post 2012 with data to prove this and it’s clear in the current climate of the world.

I have my own take on what he says that I post about such as you’re not gonna meet girls to date taking misc/reddit advice at XYZ (park, supermarket, zoo etc). How guys give awful advice to other guys to just be confident and go to meet ups or the book store to meet girls.

But what I want to highlight when it comes to BBMG…he straight up has admitted that he has had 2 girlfriends (pretty sure 2 unless I’m mistaken and it was just the 1) he even met 1 online and the other one he admitted to was a Taylor Swift look alike or at least similar looking to Taylor Swift.

Having said all of that, I do agree that trying to get through to BBMG is akin to flogging a dead horse.

I agree professional help is needed, but imagine what the therapist would be going through? Although hopefully he or she would not get in this circular behavior and learn how it's not effective.

Do you know why something like narcissism is often considered ‘untreatable’? It’s because narcissistslikeandwantto be narcissistic, they deem it a strength or a positive quality or whatever and thus they DON’T want to change. And this is the problem, there can only be leverage in therapy if the individual sees something as being wrong and wants to change.

I am not saying BBMG is a narcissist, but what I am saying is that he clearly thinks there is nothing wrong with him (bar his height) and thus there is no will to change.

I have a really good therapist who specializes in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy so she would tell BBMG to "Check the Facts" about the story he has playing in his head about his height. We know that men of that height have married shorter, similar height or taller women. Then he'll throw in his race and she'll bring up the same.

She would also work with him on "Radical Acceptance" of his height instead of trying to change it with limb lengthening surgery and to write the Pros and Cons of doing such a surgery.

Also Willingness vs. Willfulness:

Willingness is about accepting what is and responding in an effective or appropriate way. The opposite of Willingness is Willfulness: trying to control the universe and deliberately or stubbornly doing something you know isn't working. Willfulness is about digging your heels in and refusing to accept reality.

You’re talking about tools and techniques. I am talking about something more fundamental. If the patient is highly resistant to therapy and change then the whole thing is often a waste of time.

I think an incredibly talented and empathetic therapist MIGHT be able to get BBMG to lower his defensiveness. That is a major prerequisite for successful therapy and precedes any sort of teaching of tools or techniques. Without it, therapy with BBMG will mimic what you see on the misc, i.e. his fighting the therapist at every turn.

Knowing BBMG, he will reluctantly ask her while wearing a pained expression like he's constipated, and when she rejects such a half-hearted effort he'll say - "see guys, I told you so!"
