Like many others, he probably hasn’t gotten the most recent injection. So after all that time sh!tting on us for not “trusting the science”, they are going against the recommendations themselves. Like I said, some people just take longer to figure things out.

You accused me of sh!tting on people. I asked for an example, or if you're just making things up then getting angry about the things you made up.

You posted a random youtube video of an entertainer.

I guess it’s the latter. But thanks for the opportunity to post that video again to show how horribly we were treated by lots of people.

Cool story, bro.

In the post I quoted, Dave wasn’t talking to you. He was talking to Hayzeus. Most people with 3rd grade reading comprehension could understand that when I quoted the post, that’s who I was referencing. Plus I also said “he probably hasn’t gotten the most recent injection”. I already know you HAVE gotten the most recent injection. So there are two clear signals which anyone with deductive reasoning better than a potato could’ve used to understand my post….then again we already know(and you’ve admitted to) being slower than a lot of others around here.

Severe covid-19 infections linked to increased risk of schizophrenia

https://www.newscientist.com/article...schizophrenia/

People with severe covid-19 infections are more than 4 times as likely to later be diagnosed with schizophrenia than people who have not been infected, though the risk of developing the condition is relatively low

Damn, JLC, do you have an opinion on this article?

Should we all take mitigation factors, and mask up, so we don't get the Rona and possibly become schizophrenic?

I don't see that quote.

However, I did share a paper that found an association of covid infection and death from AMI in young people that was consistent through the Omicron period.

People didn't/don't like that suggestions. Perhaps because it challenges the narrative?

I don't think that's a required admission.

I stated my position regarding acute infection. This thread is about effects beyond acute infection, right?

It's not a simple question because there is an interaction with age.

It was known Omicron was tame before it came to North America but it took plenty of pissypants paniccels until the huge wave was past its peak for them to get a grip on reality, and keep their pants dry. Show them data out of South Africa - still in denial. Show them data from the UK and weeks more of data from South Africa - "no!! It can't be less virulent. I refuse to believe it, my sweet sweet Covid!!!"

Reduction of the risk of severe COVID-19 due to Omicron compared to Delta variant in Italy (November 2021 – February 2022)

"Results
We included 21,645 cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection where genome sequencing found Delta (10,728) or Omicron (10,917), diagnosed from November 15, 2021 to February 01, 2022. Overall, 3,021 cases developed severe COVID-19. We found that Omicron cases had a reduced risk of severe COVID-19 compared with Delta cases (incidence rate ratio [IRR] = 0.77; 95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.70-0.86). The largest difference was observed in cases aged 40-59 (IRR = 0.66; 95% CI: 0.55-0.79), while no protective effect was found in those aged 12-39 (IRR = 1.03; 95% CI: 0.79-1.33). Vaccination was associated with a lower risk of developing severe COVID-19 in both variants.

Conclusion
The Omicron variant is associated with a lower risk of severe COVID-19 compared to infection with the Delta variant, but the degree of protection varies with age."

Severity of Omicron (B.1.1.529) and Delta (B.1.617.2) SARS-CoV-2 infection among hospitalised adults: a prospective cohort study in Bristol, United Kingdom

"We provide reassuring evidence that Omicron infection results in less serious adverse outcomes than Delta in hospitalised patients. Despite lower severity relative to Delta, Omicron infection still resulted in substantial patient and public health burden and an increased admission rate of older patients with Omicron which counteracts some of the benefit arising from less severe disease."

https://www.thelancet.com/journals/l...252-6/fulltext

Clinical progression, disease severity, and mortality among adults hospitalized with COVID-19 caused by the Omicron and Delta SARS-CoV-2 variants: A population-based, matched cohort study

"Results
1,043 patients were included. Patients with Omicron were older, had more comorbidities, were frailer, and more often had three vaccine doses than those with Delta. Fewer patients with Omicron developed severe hypoxemia than those with Delta (aHR, 0.55; 95% confidence interval, 0.38–0.78). Omicron patients exhibited decreased aHR for 30-day mortality compared to Delta (aHR, 0.61; 0.39–0.95). Omicron patients who had received three vaccine doses had lower mortality compared to Delta patients who received three doses (aHR, 0.31;0.16–0.59), but not among those who received two or 0–1 doses (aHR, 0.86; 0.41–1.84 and 0.94; 0.49–1.81 respectively). Similar findings were observed for mortality at 60 days. Similar outcomes were obtained in the analyses of 316 individually matched patients.

Conclusions
Among adults hospitalized with COVID-19, those with Omicron had less severe hypoxemia and nearly 40% higher 30- and 60-day survival, as compared with those with Delta, mainly driven by a larger proportion of Omicron patients vaccinated with three doses of an mRNA vaccine."

Reduction in Chest CT Severity and Improved Hospital Outcomes in SARS-CoV-2 Omicron Compared with Delta Variant Infection

"The SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variant was associated with fewer and less severe changes on chest CT images compared with the Delta variant. Patients with Omicron infection had greater frequency of bronchial wall thickening but less severe disease and improved hospital outcomes when compared with patients with Delta infection."

Even the "experts" said it was less severe and that's why they cut down the quarantine from 14 days, to 10 days, and eventually five days.

You keep on believing its more severe than Delta though.....
