You’re not going to meet a girl to date by learning to play the guitar
Saw this advice given on another forum I was browsing.
A guy legitimately gave advice to someone who was asking how he can find a girlfriend and get this, the users advice was to….learn to play guitar. LMAO!
As if learning to play the guitar is magically going to get you a girlfriend. Why even bother giving that advice?
Next time someone asks me how they can get a job I’m going to say by learning to play the cello.
Inb4 hurrr durrr I know a guy in a band or I know a guitarist that gets laid. That’s not what this guy was alluding to; he thought legit if this other guy learns guitar it will get him a gf. NO!
While girls do like musicians, they don’t like misc/redditor types that learn guitar just cause they think it’s a way to meet a girl or just cause they use it as a way to add a hobby/interest that appeals to girls.
Next thing you’ll know they’ll be a bunch of misc/reddit/4chaners going to the fukin zoo with their guitars walking around and you know what….they’ll all find girls to date and marry because they are confident.

I’ve banged so many chicks from playing guitar. Learn to play and sing a simple song and they will eat that chit up.
I write songs and perform in public, there is no question at least one sloot will try to Fook you or at least suck your dink after a show. Even just playing at a coffee shop will get you laid if you’re not a complete troglodyte.

Out of curious interest, do you have any of your originals or performances uploaded for others to view?
Good luck with your music endeavors.

yes. you can't just invite a girl over and be like "i play guitar"
like anything else in life, you have to earn, claim and keep your status as a quality musician if you want anyone, including women, to notice you or to reward you for it.
i will say....if you're in a good band, meeting women isn't hard.

Anybody got tips for barre chord fatigue? Specifically, I'm getting worn out with A and aminor shape chords around the 5rd-10nd frets.
Levering the body off myself with my elbow helps a bit, but it's still pretty rough despite a couple months of practice. My action is pretty low.

Well....my suggestions:
Purchase a chord book andlearn to play the different voicingsof chord structure.
When playing bar chords just play the top (4) strings, you don't need to play all (6) strings just because they are there.
Those bassier frequencies are best reserved for the bass guitar anyway.
Or, you could incorporate a capo with your playing as an occasional alternative.
Capos aren't for me, their just in the way of my playing.
Good luck with your music endeavors.

Plus, not only does one avoid the finger pain/conditioning on a string instrument but the piano islinear in playing technique & learning approach which is much easier to relate to for those just starting out or deciding which instrument to take on.

Thing is learning to play the guitar takes years of dedication and focus which will make you an improved person overall.

I know a Pajeetmaxxer like you who got married to a white woman by playing guitar in a church band.
Women are attracted to status above all else. Being the center of (positive) attention gives you status. It isn't complex.
The biggest issue is finding a crowd to play for.

Find skills/hobbies that you enjoy and make you more attractive.
If you don't enjoy it, don't bother as it takes a ton of time to be good enough to play in front of people and help your dating prospects.

If you are wanting to perform my advice is to just go do it. Make a goal as to when and then don't let yourself back out of it. You get better at performing by performing.

Fuk all that John Mayer bullchit, it's all about shredding Tony Rice licks on your D-18 nowadays.

LOL, this is like CAR THEORY. It's not the CAR or GUITAR.......and one should not pursue something as a means to secure a sloot......he should pursue something which is his PASSION. If he's REALLY passionate about CARS or GUITARS then, sure, that should be his "thing" but it should be his PASSION and not his girl-getting-scheme because the girl will soon become bored of the car and/or lose some of her infatuation with the guitar unless she too has the same PASSION for the CARS or GUITARS

lol as if learning the guitar is something you can do in a few months. brb spending the next 5-10 years getting good enough at guitar so actually impress someone. And still not being anywhere close to as good as the people the girls watch play on YouTube.
