No, all the luck is required in order to get the reward deserved for the effort put forth.

I work in an integrated team made up of several companies. The company I work for pays me $39 an hour. My company is paid $180 by the 'lead' company when I last saw in 2022, to fill my position. The company makes $141 minimum every single hour for MY work.

LMFAOOOOOOOOOO at clowns who think you should be exerting yourself and constantly being stressed every second you're on the clock. Poor souls. Hope they find out quickly that ain't it.

i own my business. it wasn't luck that it generates a lot of $$$.

I outworked everyone at university. Graduated top of my class at undergrad and postgrad. Always been the one that works hard in every job I've had. I've called in sick exactly one time in my life. Always turn up early, stayed late to help out many times. Have picked up plenty of shifts last minute to help out and show dedication, have payed for further training on my own dime to show initative.

Never got me chit but serious burnout and mental health issues. Meanwhile I've been overtaken by half of the people I graduated with because they were better at playing the game and I'm an aspie gimp who ate up the bullchit rhetoric that hard work = success. I don't begrudge a single person that embraces the quiet quitting approach.

The game is rigged. Not just work but relationships too. You're either a have or a have not. The have's get more, the have not's get everything taken. It's possible to change yourself from a have not to a have but it takes an enormous amount of effort to escape the gravitational pull, most only achieve it through sheer luck or by ingratiating them with other haves who can upgrade them.

Wtf is the other option? Be lazy, skip those opportunities so u never had a chance

Surely jobs vary.

I show up usually half an hour early to ensure I'm not late. On top of that it takes time to set up my gear for the day (tools, lights, radio, safety stuff). By the time I clock in, I'm 100% ready to work and take calls.

If they're sitting in front of the computer ********ing and YouTubeing 7 hours out of the day and have to push out 15 emails before going home which takes till an hour after shift to complete, yeah that's different lol.
