Hope you have fun discussing that with the people involved in that particular discussion - in the meantime let's stay on topic aboutthe fact that, yes, Omicron'sbeen recognisedas beingless severe than Delta

There's quite a bit of data to suggest association of cardiac issues beyond the acute infection period.

I can understand why those who suggest letting it rip was/is the optimal strategy don't like those data.

Says the guy who wished death upon anyone who didn’t get an ineffective, experimental injection for which there are no longterm studies….

Also lmfao at how terribly this thread has gone for JLC. I’d say it’s probably his worst performance yet(which is saying a lot). Looks like 2024 might be a long year for him. Luckily he can look forward to getting another Covid injection at some point in the next nine months. That should keep his spirits up.

Lmao at thinking he hasn’t already gotten it. He rushed out and got it almost as soon as it was available. Even though there is mounting evidence that the injections actually increase your risk of contracting covid(and JShillC himself even admits that the jabs don’t appear to protect against “long covid”) it seems he’ll be getting them annually. I mean, anyone who got them in the fall of 2023 is obviously all in on these injections.

Can you share that evidence?

I have seen that previous omicron infection increases risk of subsequent infection:

Early Omicron infection is associated with increased reinfection risk in older adults in long-term care and retirement facilities

"Counterintuitively, SARS-CoV-2 Omicron infection was associated with increased risk of Omicron reinfection in residents of long-term care and retirement homes. Less robust humoral hybrid immune responses in older adults may contribute to risk of Omicron reinfection."

https://www.thelancet.com/journals/e...325-5/fulltext

Risk Factors for Reinfection with SARS-CoV-2 Omicron Variant among Previously Infected Frontline Workers

"In a cohort of essential workers in the United States previously infected with SARS-CoV-2, risk factors for reinfection included being unvaccinated, infrequent mask use, time since first infection, and being non-Hispanic Black. Protecting workers from reinfection requires a multipronged approach including up-to-date vaccination, mask use as recommended, and reduction in underlying health disparities."

The studies have been shared with you multiple times so we all know you’ve seen them. According to my calculations, if you are going to understand it and accept it, we have about 8 months left before you come around.

For the first study you shared above, all participants were “vacccinated”. So it’s quite possible that “vaccinating” them is what caused the increased risk of re-infection. It even says “counterintuitively” because exposure to a virus and developing antibodies should almost certainly result in REDUCED likelihood of re-infection. Almost like there’s another factor at play they aren’t considering…..like injections. IIRC, one of the guys who lead the way in the development of MRNA vaccines warned of that very thing. Perhaps he was right?? I mean, he’s certainly more knowledgeable on the subject than anyone here.

For the 2nd study, participants were self testing and, as usual, you seem to love studies without data validation. We have no idea how(or even IF) they were actually testing. Same with self-reporting mask usage and other behaviors. I can see why you would love that since it you seem to prefer those types of studies(assuming of course they allow you to push a certain narrative).

So just gonna stick with not liking it? Controlling for vaccinations is a flaw, in your opinion?

You said evidence is mounting. Can you share some of that evidence?

Would you analyze the data differently?

The racialized effects could be due to work requirements/conditions. It's not a novel result.

Just a reminder that SARS2 virus has become a common cold or less for all but the unhealthiest people. We've all had it a few times, which is why when we get infected now we don't even realize it most of the time. Our immune systems are wrecking it right away because it's familiar. Not even a runny nose or cough. We're definitely back to over 1 million infections a day in the US, probably 2 million a day right now. Only for short stints have we had less than 1 million infections per day over the last 2 years.

And you're not going to avoid getting it into your body again in the next year. Meh. You want another jab? Okay, you'll be temporarily protected against a cold for about 2 months, then you have an increased chance of catching said cold. Hell, this is the case with some strains of influenza, and has been known for decades. The difference is flu has so many strains and subtypes that you're more likely to avoid a strain of flu from a shot than the increased risk of catching a different strain.
Yeah Buddyyy! Light weight! Light weight baby!!!!
