They don't appreciate much of what you do and consistently choose to make problems out of complete nonsense, but it's unavoidable because you're living with them. Which makes it all the worse to deal with.

A full-blown narcissist probably wouldn't admit they're a narcissist, a lot of people have traits though without being NPD

It has its ups and downs. I really don't think they can help it when part of them rears its head. I guess it boils down to how much do you love that person. If you truly do then you accept the good with the bad. If you can't then you never loved them to begin with.

Unless the behavior is just so terribly bad it's not tolerable.

Yeah they definitely can’t help it without years of therapy which they will never seek bc they’re never the problem.

My ex was 100% a narcissist and went out of her way to destroy things. Would do it drunk on vacation in front of her family when everybody is supposed to be having a good time, where she would completely unprovoked and out of nowhere just jump up from the bed in the hotel during a rainstorm and just start trashing mine. “Let’s talk about Imnew1. You all love him but his parents don’t like me bc they’re a bunch of racist ahole Trump supporting Republicans” etc etc. Her sister burried her head in the pillow as long as she could while her brother heard it out to play peace maker and told her she was making no sense, until her sister finally jumped up and snapped at her and told her to stop it and asked her wtf he hasn’t done anything to you and it sounds like neither have his parents. Basically they’re used to her ruining things on purpose that they can’t save and being a victim in her own mind and then on to the next poor dude to have her fk up his life. Hence why she’s almost 37, hot and never married.

Her behavior was good 90% of the time, and by the end was sub 50%. Even when it was 90% good her 10% was totally intollerable. Her utter disrespect and psychoness was something I’ve never seen before by the time she was only 50% good.

I told co-workers about the end that all worked with her and they were all in disbelief and couldn’t believe the person they knew and chatted with them every day for 1-2 years and seemed so cool and nice was actually this person. I wasn’t the only one fooled. They hide it well to the public to say the least.

I dated a legitimate one. Thank god we never moved in together.

On top of that, she was a hardcore alcoholic

This sounds like a bipolar narcissist.

Yep. Narcissism is kind of the weak end of the psychopathy spectrum. Like psycho-lite.

It's the same kind of self-centered, user tendency that is fundamentally predatory in nature, but narcissists have enough inhibition to not go all antisocial with it. More like ungrateful bish than armed robber or KGB torture technician.
