Field day every year or did they stop it because someone might get their feelings hurt if they didn't win a ribbon?

lmao i'm 28 now and we had field day... but there weren't any competitions
there were fun games to play or just chill with friends and walk around the track
and there were snacks and juice stations

Really?
So basicly it was no different than going to the park and hanging out playing games for a day?
So much for teachings kids the value of being competitive and learning sometimes you win and sometimes you.lose. but what's important is you try.
Great way to prepare them for the real world and what awaits when they grow up

it was basically recess except the entire school was participating at the same time instead of 1 gym class
and there were more stuff to do like they would bring those blow up bounce houses and provide snacks
most of us guys would gather around and play kickball but it wasn't a scheduled event

They stopped doing the presidential fitness test in PE because it was too traumatic for the post-1999 fat fuks.
