People should do their own research(though I know many have demonized that lately), and many are unaware of a lot of the things these corporations have done in the past. Nothing wrong with healthy skepticism imho.
As long as it is healthy skepticism, not conspiratorial.
A safe bet is, if it is banned in other countries, then question its safety here.
We did this with sports and bodybuilding supps when i first joined the site, is it spiked with oids?

Agreed.

Saying the injections will turn on 5G in your body, magnetize your blood, be used for mass depopulation, and other crazy stuff is bad

Saying “hey, these injections are being offered in a form that we’ve never successfully created in a safe and effective way, and before an amount of testing that I’m comfortable with…so I’m gonna sit this one out” is perfectly fine

But I also wouldn’t necessarily go by what’s being banned as a measuring stick. In addition to a long track record of pushing products which later turned out to be unsafe in order to seek profits, these companies also have a track record of using their influence to ban safe products which cut into their profits. Many different peptides today being a perfect example.

So while I think skepticism should be a reasonable starting position, I also wouldn’t necessarily say it should applied to the same degree for all entities across the board. After all, some have a much worse track record of deception as well as much greater incentives to deceive.

This why I can understand (but not agree) with those who are opposed to vaccines (in general).

I simply ask that they own it rather than make up convoluted stories and qualifiers

I dunno how one "supports a vaccine". But, I do know how others make up stories like "all other vaccines had long term data!".

Which ones?

It kinda makes sense if it's a reason to rejectanything and everythingproduced by a pharmaceutical company, imo.

Not something I'd do, but at least it would be a consistent position to hold.

Why do you think I’m outraged?

But if we’re talking about time frames, it wasn’t long ago doctors were handing out benzos like candy.

It wasn’t long ago doctors(after being heavily influenced by drug companies) were handing out opiates like candy.

Today(as in literally today) in this country millions of children have been given amphetamines and/or methylphenidate, prescribed to them by their doctor.

Doctors hand out drugs that drastically affect brain function to millions of people(over 10% of adults). Do you think that having about 1/8 of people on antidepressants is a sign of overprescribing?

Just pointing out that there seems to be a trend of prioritizing profit over health in many organizations. And that what is once considered safe, may not be so tomorrow.

I guess that's why some folks swear off physicians and anything products by pharmaceutical companies.

Gotta respect consistency.

But, others might view that as throwing the baby out with the bathwater.

1.) it wasn’t all caps

2.) highlighted for emphasis does not mean I’m outraged. Sure I think it’s extremely fukkt up but I’m not gonna sit here and get all pissed about it. Again this thread will just be a place to highlight a trend of prioritizing profit over health and some the other ways pharmaceutical companies and other involved entities harmed people

I don’t know of anyone who has sworn off physicians and all medical products, but I guess maybe you do.

I’m just with you in that we should approach things skeptically. I would also add that our system prioritizes medications(and certain medications) so the first proposed solution is often some type of drug, even when there are much better options and solutions available…though perhaps not as profitable.

For example if someone’s kid is struggling in school I don’t think the first option(or even 10th option) should be to give the child amphetamines.

If someone’s boss stresses them out I don’t think the first option should be to give them ******.

Same with “depression”.

Same with obesity.

Same with a long list of things which has resulted in healthcare costs in this country(and most western countries) to soar while our health continues to worsen. Perhaps you think this is a good approach. Everyone’s different.

Pharma is bad because they have settled suits and pulled products from market.

Physicians are nothing more than Pharma salespeople - therefore bad.

Why would you use a product from a company that has settled suits and pulled products?

Why would you listen to or follow guidance from something who prescribes products made my companies that have settled suits and pulled products?

Vaccines and statins are made by Pharma companies, so both types of products are bad. Right?

We need strong, healthy, pure, and natural people. Yeah?

Pills shouldn't be the first solution to a problem.

And if you don't need a jab, don't get it.

And trans women aren't women.

You thought wrong. Nobody told you that. Also, this is corporate malfeasance and has zero to do with science, you troglodyte.

Thanks for making a great argument against capitalism and private healthcare systems OP. I agree. We definitely need more regulation of big pharma. So who among you are going to support Senator Sanders' efforts to achieve this? *Crickets*

Shut down all of the hospitals except for their COVID wing disallowing most surgeries and other general care.

Result: hospitals are starved for the revenue needed just to keep their doors open.

Hospitals were getting paid $12,000 for every COVID patient that died, but $39,000 if they put them on a ventilator first.

Result: hospitals were deliberately killing patients by venting them which caused a cytokine storm in their lungs, drowning them in mucus.

Hospitals also got bonuses of $160,000 if they reached a certain number of COVID deaths.

Result: everyone was labeled as a COVID patient whether they tested positive or not. This caused COVID case numbers to skyrocket, purposefully helping to drive the fake pandemic.

Hospitals are paid 20% extra when they prescribe Remdesivir to COVID patients which shuts down their internal organs. This was known from the study phase where it killed 50% of patients who took it.

Result: hospitals are knowingly killing patients with Remdesivir.

All of this is the reason hospitals are preventing families from visiting their loved ones. Hospitals are now killing fields because they are being paid to be that.
There are deaths from the government-directed COVID treatments. For remdesivir, studies show that 71–75 percent of patients suffer an adverse effect, and the drug often had to be stopped after five to ten days because of these effects, such as kidney and liver damage, and death. Remdesivir trials during the 2018 West African Ebola outbreak had to be discontinued because death rate exceeded 50%. Yet, in 2020, Anthony Fauci directed that remdesivir was to be the drug hospitals use to treat COVID-19, even when the COVID clinical trials of remdesivir showed similar adverse effects.

In ventilated patients, the death toll is staggering. A National Library of Medicine January 2021 report of 69 studies involving more than 57,000 patients concluded that fatality rates were 45 percent in COVID-19 patients receiving invasive mechanical ventilation, increasing to 84 percent in older patients. Renz announced at a Truth for Health Foundation Press Conference that CMS data showed that in Texas hospitals, 84.9% percent of all patients died after more than 96 hours on a ventilator.

No, what's creepy is an alleged adult with a weird ass obsession with covid of all things.

How TF do you explain that?

It's a hot night. The mind races. You think about your knife: the only friend who hasn't betrayed you, the only friend who won't be dead by sunup. Sleep tight mates, in your quilted chambray night shirts.

Who do you think is putting out “the science” you troglodyte?

https://www.ucsusa.org/resources/mer...out-drug-vioxx

Scientists from the pharmaceutical giant Merck skewed the results of clinical trials in favor of the arthritis drug, Vioxx, to hide evidence that the drug increased patients’ risk of heart attack.

To increase the likelihood of FDA approval for its anti-inflammatory and arthritis drug Vioxx, the pharmaceutical giant Merck used flawed methodologies biased toward predetermined results to exaggerate the drug’s positive effects. Internal documents made public in litigation revealed that a Merck marketing team had developed a strategy called ADVANTAGE (Assessment of Differences between Vioxx And Naproxen To Ascertain Gastrointestinal tolerability and Effectiveness) to skew the results of clinical trials in the drug’s favor. As part of the strategy, scientists manipulated the trial design by comparing the drug to naproxen, a pain reliever sold under brand names such as Aleve, rather than to a placebo.

The scientists highlighted the results that naproxen decreased the risk of heart attack by 80 percent, and downplayed results showing that Vioxx increased the risk of heart attack by 400 percent. This misleading presentation of the evidence made it look like naproxen was protecting patients from heart attacks, and that Vioxx only looked risky by comparison. In fact, Vioxx has since been found to significantly increase cardiovascular risk, leading Merck to withdraw the product from the market in 2004.

Merck’s manipulation of the science around Vioxx also included a pattern of ghostwriting of scientific articles. Internal documents reveal that in 16 of 20 papers reporting on clinical trials of Vioxx, a Merck employee was initially listed as the lead author of the first draft; on the published versions, an outside academic was listed as the primary author. In one draft of a Vioxx research study that did not yet have a prominent outside name attached, Merck officials listed the lead author only as “External author?” A Merck scientist was also found to have removed the evidence of three heart attacks among patients in a dataset from the results presented.

Tragically, Merck’s manipulation of its data—and the FDA’s resulting approval of Vioxx in 1999—led to thousands of avoidable premature deaths and 100,000 heart attacks. Dr. David Graham, the Associate Director for Science and Medicine in FDA’s Office of Drug Safety, testified in 2004 before the Senate Finance Committee that the FDA's failure to recall Vioxx earlier had resulted in as many as 55,000 premature deaths from heart attacks and stroke, calling it the equivalent of allowing "two to four jumbo jetliners" to crash every week for five years. Even years after discontinuing use of the drug, patients who have taken Vioxx continue to experience complications.
