Just saw The Beekeeper (Jason Statham).

Came out today, looked good, so I went to see it.

Last action movie I saw was Silent Night by John Woo which was weird since it had no dialogue. Beekeeper was awesome. Not a spoiler, but the villain in the movie is a scamming syndicate, those scum who hack people's accounts and steal all their life savings.

I remember I got scammed out of a few hundred bucks and I wanted nothing more than to hunt down those responsible and saw their legs off. Yes, something like that happens in the movie. Yes, it is fcking satisfying to see this kind of criminal get tortured.

Definitely go see it.
Back off, Warchild.

Seriously.

I had Jason Statham (and most action movies) ruined for me when my grandfather said to me "don't watch the main two fighting, look at the opponents in the background flailing about trying to look involved". Made me realise how ridiculous they are srs. Also the "always grab the main hero from behind". In reality you'd get shoved to the floor or punched in the back of the head. I loved that old man to pieces but man I wish he'd stfu there.

This needs to happen in movies. IRL there is no way in hell a single person can survive in a fight against 7+ other people.

If movies were like life in that respect, the hero would be dead in the first fight scene when 7 people gang up on him and kick him into the ground and the movie would be over. I've seen this happens in nearly all movies with multiple opponents on the main character.

You need to forgive movies for that.

Reminds me of some batman scene I think where they were on a roof, and a guy just pretended to fight the air and fell over lmao.

I always love how every movie has the anime 1v1 rule where people come at the hero one at a time lmao.

The only thing I've seen acknowledging this is that lolzy Van Damme show on prime. "Go one at a time so it doesn't get confusing". Chit was funny. Shows called Jean Claude Van Johnson and I'd recommend it because its basically him taking the piss out of his career.

Watching American Ninja for nostalgia, the main character and his former master are taking on like 20-30 ninjas at the end of the movie, and I'm cracking up.

I liked wraith of man

But Statham sucks. His style of action is like from the 90s.

Action movies have grown out of cheap chit.

The raid, extraction,etc... These make Statham movies look like a TNT Straight to DVD movie.

Maybe kids still like it but he sucks.

Also remember him talking a bunch of chit about marvel movies and green screens for action, then he turned around and did the Meg lol. Dudes a dork.

What's wrong with 80/90s action?

It's not that there's anything wrong with it, but people have pushed the creative boundaries of action cinema to new levels. And Statham and many other older action stars now, look like goofy ass dorks because of it.

See: expendables 4 and how terrible it was and how generic the action is. These guys simple Fkn suck now compared to some of the newer generation of action stars.

Theres been tons of unique and cool action/fighting movies and Statham has not been a part of any of them. Same old generic stuff in every movie he does.
