I’ve been working full time since I was 18 but there have been maybe a total of 6 weeks since then if you add up all my time between jobs and the covid layoffs. Those were the happiest moments of my adult life (ded fkin srs). I can’t wait to retire.

I wouldn't be too upset to be laid off, I think I get a $34,000 severance package + unemployment. Already have a job lined up at a better company too.

Doubt it will happen though because I'm in a useful engineering profession and not tech.

I almost don't care if I get laid off from my job. I have a decent amount of money and would like the 6 month break. Also I'm in a pretty in demand but boring field of work so I'm not worried about finding another job.
