why do I feel like this season will be a letdown? Is this really Jonathan Majors dressed up as a woman?

do they dump the entire season or is it week to week? nothing will ever peak season 1.

I liked all of the seasons but this just didn't look that great to me.

Honestly just watch the outsider. Hbo mini series with Ben mendelson. It was like a supernatural true detective.

Dragged Across Concrete on Netflix is the closest thing I've seen to a True Detective season 1

That was a good film, Vince vaugh has done some good stuff. I watched cell block 99 recently, thought it was pretty good.

Outsider is a Steven king story so yeah a bit ludicrous but that's the style

Advanced reviews have been glowing but I take that with a grain of salt.

Also believe this season is 6 eps. They went to tight storytelling ( supposedly) instead of a set number of eps that would drag out the story.

Alaska = I'm in, but my expectations are pretty low.

Season 1 was a MASTERPIECE. With two bona-fide A-list stars in the lead roles. And with writing that is on par with ANYTHING written in the past 30 years in either TV or the big screen. It is almost perfect, an achievement of epic proportions (srs).


Whatever this queer gay woke womyn chit is, is NOTHING compared to Season 1 of True Detective. This is like comparing Rings of Power with the LOTR Trilogy. There IS NO COMPARISON.


I am not overstating this one bit. If any of you bastards haven’t seen the first season of True Detective, you need to get off your fukin ass and see it RIGHT NOW (srs).

S1 >>> S2 > S3

Not sure where this one will wind up, but the original creator is gone so I don't have high hopes. Some review mentioned it's "very feminist" and I'm sick of escapism turning into lectures, so might just pass.
