I agree. Additionally, Michigan had a dominant year, 11 wins by 20+ points. Arguably their down game was Alabama, but still managed to rush for 130 yards and well over 4 yards/carry whereas Georgia's ground game was stuffed all day long.

Probably just got complacent from winning so much recently. I tried to warn ya.

Only half srs/half trolol. But honestly it is extremely difficult to maintain that level no matter how talented a team is.

They really just weren't as strong as the previous two seasons. Had more ****** in their armor. I agree they were still the most talented and should win if they show up every single time but the talent difference wasn't so wide that they could have off games and escape against good teams. Last years team was practically an NFL team. Even if they weren't at their best they were probably going to beat even the better teams.

It is hard to constantly have that much separation from the rest of the colleges for sure.

All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

Trying to find the rankings... but the advanced metrics had the 2016 Wolverines as the 16th best team in the 4-team CFP era. It was a weak year for CFP, and they still had to cheat to win. All these 5th year guys to win as well. Bama Georgia Ohio State are gutted in the draft every year. Imagine Stroud coming back and throwing to MHJ.

So the investigation isn't over, but the words from the president of the NCAA are pretty telling here. Michigan is likely getting away with it what a joke. This is inconsistent with what they've done to other schools in the past 20 years. Might as well give USC back their natty, OSU back their Sugar Bowl, and Louisiana back their 3 years, among others.
The NCAA’s grip is slipping so I’m sure they are just going to try and rock the boat as little as possible in order to prevent people pushing for even more changes which reduce NCAA’s power/control.

But they’ve always been inconsistent with handing out punishment. Just look at what Auburn blatantly got away with with Cam Newton. Other similar stories from that era while some schools got hammered pretty hard for a fraction of the violations.

I'd bet 0% of the scUM fans in here went to UM.

They are the UT Walmart fans of the mid-west.

I dont disagree, they should restore 2004 USC, i never agreed with them taking that away

Unlike Alabama, I haven't got that vibe from the MI posters here. ezmacs location says Michigan and wildchild and JMath were around when they got pancaked back to back years by the Wisconsin Offensive Line 35-14, 49-11. But now they run this web site. Well, at least until the Big Ten Tournament in March.

Hear me out, Oregon will get at least 4 losses in the Big 10. Dan Lanning is all bark no bite and a mediocre at best coach. He can run his mouth against a rebuilding Colorado team but will realize real fast why his best place is being a lap dog to Kirby Smart if he ever wants to sniff a championship.

Ohio St
Michigan
Washington
Penn St

All give Oregon an L in the upcoming season.
