Way too ****ing long for me to "get the itch to do another play through"
It was a good game but it feels clunky and dated now and there's way too many good games especially recently to cycle between cyberpunk and witcher 3 ad nauseum.

I tried to replay it after the update for Series X and he's right. It's a definitely massive slog when you already know everything that happens.
If you haven't played the DLCs or have dementia I'm sure it's definitely worthwhile.
The update does make some beneficial changes though like the quick spell casting.

You hadn't played it with the new update???
I'm playing now, 100% definitely worth the playthrough. 60 FPS makes the game so much better
Story, side quests, lore, scenery, and graphics make it easy to overlook the controls.

I played the update on PC which runs even better than GayStation and agree that it is a bit of a slog. Didn't get the bad ending this time though.

you start in White Orchard which takes around 6-7 hours or so to finish and THEN the game starts

I'm pretty sure the game is cutscene heavy during the entire game, right? Might be a quality game but just not my cup of tea.

at certain key moments in the story there might be a substantial cutscene intermezzo but nothing too bad imo
if you ask 100 people that love the game for the moment it started clicking and 99 will say after you leave White Orchard
it's really not a good indicator for the rest of the game
also there's a "mini-game" in the game called Gwent and I kid you not it's AWESOME

Good luck. Did it twice. Can't imagine doing a game that big a 3st time.
I'm back, bitches!

it's also kinda double for me to replay these massive games but fuaaark it's just too good
might sound weird but while the only thing that matters is you having fun it still gnaws at me when I return to a game I already finished while there's a massive backlog remaining untouched lol
in a way I kinda miss the days when I only had limited access to games as a kid lmfao

Can't think of anything worse than gaslighting yourself into believing that riding horses in a video game is peak gaming.
I've played N64 games with better controls than TW3. Better combat too.
