The current fence is fine. After a few hundred get picked off (there will be signs in multiple languages that are very clear as to what will happen), no one will be crossing.

That's a big part of it, but certainly not the only thing to be concerned about. Look at South Africa and Zimbabwe/Rhodesia for a couple of examples.

Bush Sr. immigration act of 1990(Ted Kennedy's bill) did much more damage.

Are we going to shoot kids? and imagine if the media managed to get a photo of a dead kid on the ground shot by border patrol? The media chit show would be legendary for anyone sitting in office.

One of the few times I'll agree with Wincel. The earth, or even the US is not overpopulated. Cities may be, but take a drive outside the cities in any state and you'll see for yourself all the vast land. Once read that the entire world population can fit in the stATE OF TEXAS..with everyone having close to an acre of land. We are far from overpopulated.

As far as the water shortage..no reason we can't do the same as Israel and build more desalinization plants. Food..if we just go back to natural farming, it creates it's own ecosystem.
