Does anyone else not believe historical death tolls given for wars, genocide, disease

famines, natural disasters etc?


These numbers seem highly inflated, like who the fook was counting all the millions of people who died from the plague 700 years ago? The numbers are always way above and beyond anything we see in the days people can count them unless it's an undeveloped area where it's still unverifiable.

I mean, 1 million americans isn't a whole lot in the grand scheme of things. The US has what, 330 million? If less than 0.01% of the population of your city moved out suddenly, you wouldn't perceive any difference. I don't see why 1 million is such an unfeasible number, and don't see it as any big issue.

If you want to see some big numbers, look up China's history. The war of three kingdoms had like 40 million deaths

It's truly not. Take a look at heart disease for example:

In 2021, about 700,000 Americans died from it. I personally haven't known anyone to have passed away from heart-related illness in years and 700k is pretty damn close to 1 million. 1 million sounds like a lot, but it's imperceptible to us because it represents such a small fraction of our overall population. When the deaths start tolling over 5% of our population (16.5 million), that's when you'll start being able to say "this is killing a lot". <0.01% is nothing.

Yeah I think the more credited official numbers from closer to the end of the war were more like 500k. But yeah, whether it is 6 mil or 500k doesn’t change that it is a terrible thing and an awful indictment on humanity.

I think where the difference between 500k and 6MM is is that 6MM was like more than 1/3 of their total global population. 500k is tragic. 6MM is genocide and justifies giving them their own country, standing by as they do their own concentration camps, letting them steal nuclear secrets, and letting them attack our aircraft carriers.

I was looking at a Mayflower story the other day.

They said like 102 people were on it and after the first winter there were less than 50 or something like that.

They even had everyone's name and knew the names of the people who survived. of course after that there really was no history about what happened to them.

That makes no sense. For one, it wasnt some historic moment in England, it was just some religious weirdos getting on a boat. Imagine some group wanting to live on a commune today. Would there be some great tracking of them and documenting their names?

Then they said it was the terrible sea conditions. It was only t2 months at sea. I have been all around the world at sea, you can survive this, It will suck but you should be fine.

Then they claimed it was disease. Were people back then just busting with all sorts of diseases. Wouldnt they have some sort of immunity built up?

Then the indians all dies of diseases. Again, a ridiculous story. They had trade already established and interacted with people from all over the place so natural immunity again would have been somewhat in place.

really makes you start wondering why they make these stories up and for what purpose other than to somehow control the narrative.
