Fisker stock

What do y'all think about throwing $1000 into Fisker? They just came out with the Ocean and people in YouTube comments are giving positive feedback on it, it looks kind of like a range rover, interest rates are dropping so should give the company opportunity for more capital and production. Idk anything about investing but it's a $1 stock right now could it blow tf up?!

According to this article, investors have kind of lost confidence already in Fisker.

Still, at a $1.00 a share, it might be worth experimenting with.

The stock is definitely at rock bottom, but the question is can they make profit on these cars and since nobody seems to think so, they will probably go bye bye. I think Tesla and BYD(?) are the only ones acutally turning a profit selling EVs currently, so slim chances I guess.

I doubt they will dissolve if they toughed it through the high interest rates ?? They managed to come out with a decent product during high interest rates

Took a look now. They not making money, Chart looks like a falling knife. You must wait for some sign of a turn around before you invest.

There is only one EV stock really, all else is trash and probably going to zero except BYD, but Warran Buffar is selling his BYD position… so… idk…

Honestly I'll probably throw $100-200 on it. I know EV's are in a tough spot right now, but they have a lot of potential.

The EV market isn't as good as people thinks it is. Even with all the media hype, ad campaigns, government subsidies, etc.

Anyone see that interview with Karine Jean-Pierre when she was touting how good the EV market is doing. 50% more EV drivers. Etc. And the reported countered they ran the numbers from GM and Ford and 96% of new car buyers are not buying EV. Traditional Auto manufactures are taking losses trying to build/sell EV. The market for them is just incredibly small. Tesla is and will continue to dominate that space.

So we have a completely new company trying to pump out EV into the market. Maybe they'll succeed. But its much more likely they'll fail.

If you can afford to lose the 1K its not a bad gamble. But extremely high risk.

It could go even lower then they'll do a reverse split.

On a side note, all those startup biotech stocks are getting hammered, AbbVie and Pfizer are the only good ones
BMW and Mercedes could have a turnaround and they're at around 8%
BTI British American Tobacco is at 9%

Also, I was thinking it's gonna take 40-50 years for EVs to get fully integrated into society, so you're still good to go investing in oil stocks and traditional auto makers, this is just a general statement.

No way.

EV is growing way too fast. Look at 17% of ALL sales of all cars are now EV. This is crazy growth. EV is now THE best selling car in the world and in US. The writing is on the wall, and whatever other stupid expressions exist etc.

Traditional auto makers are getting their sheit shoved in, while TSLA is the #1 stock of all time now. And 2nd best investment in history.

Yes, Tesla's good, I just am not investing in it now, it's too late, maybe if it drops back to 100, i wasn't into stocks before 2020.

Traditional automakers are getting fukked because they are trying to compete in the EV market. And Tesla completely dominates that space. If Tesla decides to make a traditional looking SUV/Pickup truck they'd continue to dominate more-so.

With that said. EV is being pushed on everyone with massive media campaigns. Government campaigns and government incentives. Etc. Its still a relatively new product in the grand scheme of things.

We still have a long way to go in terms of an electrical grid/charging infrastructure if a large portion of Americans go EV. We also haven't seen people en-mass needing to **** out like 20K for a brand new battery. We have a long way to go before EV completely takes over.

I'm not entirely sure anyone can compete with Tesla. Which is why I hold a lot of Tesla stock. New EV companies have an uphill battle. Traditional automakers will be getting govt handouts so they don't go under. Small/new companies? Doubtful.

But you just said 17% of new car sales are EV. That's good. But that means 83% are still ICE. EV has a long way to go.

Kathie Wood just bought over 27 million worth of Tesla shares. Do you honestly think its 'too late'?

Tesla is still a young company. They have a lot of room for growth.

The market is so ETF'ed to hell and back that every stock moves in lockstep. Don't even bother playing individual companies unless you're playing biotech lotto tickets.

So many EV companies are down bigly from their highs but there is legit risk of them going bankrupt or diluting with share sales to raise cash and stay afloat

I totally agree, this is a relatively high risk stock. $500 is a relatively small portion of my portfolio, but I've been thinking about throwing some cash in Fisker or Lucid for some time. I'm all for ICE vehicles, but I'm optimistic of the EV's future. Definitely not on a Democrat's level, but still worth investing in. I think if they survive the next year or two, they might have good potential.

Most will fail. I remember shorting Fisker at 30. Wish I held, but borrow rate was high at the time.
