I'm a deputy. We work pretty regularly together.
The diversion program is literally like anger management but for whatever mental illness causes someone to jerk off at the beach. The charges get dropped, aka wiped from your record, upon completion of some whino 40 hour class (assuming the DA took this case anyways). Court supervision, aka probation/parole/PRCS/etc, would be highly unlikely in this case, at least for my state.

They're not. They're literally misdemeanors for first time offenders. There is no criminal section in Georgia that makes it a felony to do what the chick in the OP did if she is a first time offender (which she was). A multiple time offender would not get off with a misdemeanor, and it is stated as such in the section I linked to you.
