Ohio congress tells Dewine to fck off and bans trans care for minors despite his veto

Ohio has banned gender care for minors and restricted transgender women’s and girls’ participation on sports teams, a move that has families of transgender children scrambling over how best to care for them.

The Republican-dominated Senate voted Wednesday to override GOP Gov. Mike DeWine’s veto. The new law bans gender surgeries and hormone therapies, and restricts mental health care for transgender individuals under 18. The measure also bans transgender girls and women from girls and women’s sports teams at both the K-12 and collegiate level.

Officials expect the law to take effect in roughly 90 days. The Republican-majority House had voted to override the veto earlier this month.

It's not mental health care that we need. We have lots of that right now. What we need is a return to normal families. One dad who goes to work, one mom who takes care of the house and kids. The stress of having both parents working is not worth the additional income. Getting society back to a point where we can do this would take care of "mental illness" IMO. Shorten school days and involving kids in day to day activities instead of plopped in front of a TV with an iPad in everyone's hand. I swear the first three years of school seems pretty worthless as far as math and reading. I've taught my first grader multiplication in a matter of days, taught him when we needed it, and now he uses it constantly and not some gibberish nu math that has to be there to fill the school day.

The next step is to criminalize all "gender affirming care" advocates like teachers and so-called health professionals, while revoking their licenses. Maybe send them to prison to be dealt with outside the law in a fashion most befitting child predators.

At a minimum there should be audio and video recordings of every class in every school in America so parents can look at what's being taught to their kids every minute of the day while they are in school. If the teachers don't like that, go find another job...

To be clear, there's no legal ban on trans kids getting mental health help. This means the taxpayer won't be footing the bill for it.
