His contract is expiring and NJPW cannot offer the same money as AEW or WWE. His contract expires at the end of the month and he’s verbally agreed to wrestle shows he was advertised for in February, so I don’t think he’ll show up at the RR.

And to answer your follow up question he would probably equate most to being the mid 00’s HHH of NJPW, in my view in that he’s been the top guy forever and have tried to give other guys a shot but always go back to him.

Yeah but mainly cuz they did a good job with keeping us guessing who should main event Mania, plus the top names now makes it nice to watch. But the truth is, only Punk or Cody who are really obvious to win.

Anyway watching RR 97 now. Crazy how Rock and Austin are still noobs here. And lol @ 4 luchadors- Pierroth, Mil Mascaras, Cibernetico and that Mexican Lover dude. The crowd was absolutely silent. Imagine if one of them won. Lol

BTW, glad to see in SD, they showed the wrestlers drawing their numbers again. Brings more legitimacy and entertaining TV. Plus you know those in power isn't playing favorites(like last year, giving 30 to Cody).
