What is your current daily driver? What would you trade it in for?

Current:

2016 Nissan Maxima SR

Not a bad car, still like it although getting the itch to move on to something else.
inb4 fuk CVT.

Considering something like:
2024 Lexus IS

or

2024 Nissan Pathfinder Rock Creek

Inb4 they all suck or get chit on as pure ph@ggotry.
What are yours?

High mileage toyota

I want a jeep truck. I know they're not super reliable, but I love the way they look. I'm not a fan of the redesign though.

Always wanted a Wrangler for the look but the reliability has been trash forever.

A 2015 Smart Fortwo. It’s not too fancy but it gets good gas mileage.

One day I think it’d like to get one of those new Equinox’s, but it’s not in the cards for now.

Yeah that's what I hear everywhere, but how bad can their 3.6 pentastar be? It's been around forever and it's in a million other vehicles. Iirc I remember reading the manual that comes in them now is made by aisin, and the auto is made by some Austrian company that makes transmissions for a bunch of other brands. 🤷‍♂️

tough one because I don't want to get rid of it. but for thread's sake, either a Mustang or another Clubman. I don't want to pay Challenger prices.

Camry SE with 5% tint as the daily…. i need to get the windshield tinted too instead of just a brow and rly complete the look

but anyway, wish i had a charger scat as my daily tbh

Would make my work commute more enjoyable haha. Camry def good on gas mileage tho and it’s cheap to fill up, so I’ll give it that

I just love a v8 tho…. this is my first Toyota that I’ve ever had tho. Bought it brand new back in May

mk7 gti. its only got 40k miles so will keep it for a while but if i was due for a new car today honestly i would just get a mazda 3 non turbo. im tired of dealing with german nonsense, i cant even use the turbo much around here so i would get the non turbo with less chit in the engine bay, easier maintenance. i dont really care for a sports car but also like the mazda that its a bit less body roll you can enjoy it in a turn unlike a camery or other econobox

Why don’t you like German cars anymore? They’re goat. I’m trying to try them all. Porsche might be next on my list.

Honda Civic. Might trade it in for a Honda Civic or an Integra. All with manual transmissions.

nothing major has broken on this car, they just make it more complicated for no reason at all, the german design engineers are retards. grass is always greener though, i had a japanese econobox and it was boring, hence the gti. if i was going to get a car to last 10+ years though then i would go back to japanese. i do like my car though, the interior and its fun to drive. the mk8 i do not like they went to touchscreen controls for the AC and volume

they have clear UV tint for the windshield, it will lower the heat that comes in without obstructing your view

I'd probably trade it in for a Taco of equal mileage if a good deal came up, but I'm not actively seeking it.

Jaguar XFR. Owned it for nearly 2 years now. Amazing car to drive, especially on Irish country roads. I miss my old Alfa Romeo though so I've been eyeing a Giulia up for a little bit. Might pick one up next year. Either that or a Maserati Ghibli.

I know what you mean in regards to the touchscreen. BMW did the same thing… I have to use my screen just to adjust the heated seats.

its lame honda wont make an SI hatchback so you have to drop another 10k to get the integra or even more for the R. unless the sport is good enough which is probably what i would do

yeah i have a 2017 so i dont have any of that stupid chit but VW has since when to that dumb ****. i just swapped out my 6.5" screen for a 8" screen to give the car a more modern feel but i still have all the normal controls. mazda's infotainment is lame but i do like they have all touch controls. honda i know they put the volume knob back in after getting enough complaints.

my car there is only a small amount of settings that need the screen, everything else is old school.

2016 Ford Lariat ecoboost here . You’d think I’d know better ,but Fords makes absolute trash .
Power door lock on the drivers door has to be replaced after 7 years , and the truck had 19,000 miles on it . Safety belt doesn’t retract in worth a fk at 14,000 miles and dings the door sill when you shut the door on it f your not paying attention.
Doors wouldn’t latch shut in winter and had to have them take the entire doors apart to put in these additional parts to keep water out of the mechanism due to a chit design .
Ya they’re utter garbage.

GMC ideally and Tacoma second . Just a heads up , one of our employees bought a brand new Tacoma , and unfortunately hit a deer weeks later .
He had too wait 3 months till they could ship a hood over seas to America

Present truck

The truck I shouldn’t have sold . Would be running to this day and a cake walk to work on

It's $52k for the Type S. I'm wondering if the premium is worth it over the new Type R. I like my current last gen Civic, but the newest Civic looks so much nicer.

I got rid of the Stinger because i realized it isn't fun unless you're going so fast that it's a felony if you get caught. The Civic is fun at 35mph.

I'm thinking of just buying the newest Type R or Type S and keeping it indefinitely. I'm sure pretty soon they'll stop making manual variants.
