How much are you getting on your tax return?

I’m getting $2,757

Didn’t know if I’d be getting anything so it’s a nice surprise.

Total was around $350, srs, but I'm lazy and used HR Block, so I'm getting like $100ish.

The truth is... only idiots actually WANT a tax return. That is money YOU SHOULD HAVE RECEIVED LAST YEAR. AKA, that return, is equivalent to lending the government your money for 0% interest until they gave it back to you.

I'd rather owe money, because it's money I shouldn't have kept, but got to invest with at 0% essentially (assuming no penalties and I pay it back in time).

taxation is theft

the only reason there are taxes is cuz the government has to pay off the national debt. The national debt is what the government owes to the jew federal reserve.

Taxes, Taxes returns, Tax laws, accounting mumble jumbo... they all don't make sense because taxation is theft.

The jew federal reserve prints money out of thin air.

I think it might be because about 60% of my income was commission, that gets taxed higher than my salary income. Idk though, I’m not extremely well versed in tax law.

I never worked for commission so I am pretty ignorant about that.

I knew you were in sales and figured that was part of your return.

That comment was not aimed at you at all.

Even with just a conventional salary it took me adjusting my W-4 like two or three times to get that chit right.

All good brah. Filing taxes in the US is notoriously more complicated compared to other countries.

https://www.businessinsider.com/fili...ter-2021-8?amp

The IRS already has all our info. They could do it themselves for most people without a complicated return.

I file maybe every 3 years. The IRS is too small to look into everyone.

this. unless it's from donations and the like, you've effectively given the govi a free loan for a year when you could have possibly done something with it.

but then again, maybe this forces people to squirrel away or forget they had money coming to them

not much can be done if you're given a large bonus on one paycheck like myself. government will treat that pay period as a larger pay period and tax you accordingly, and you get it back in the tax return.
